stall converter comparison

Is there any advantage having a multi disc coverter compared to single disc. I have a precision industries single disc and I'm pulling it to get it loosened up. There is an fti multi disc for sale in the rpm I want. My question is get my free reflash or go with the multi disc and sell mine?

Only benefit would be wot lockup. this is more popular on nitrous and boosted setups, but if your gearing was where you could lock it and carry say 3rd out without having to hit 4th, then it would help et. on a naturally aspirated setup.

What is the best way to log this info? Will a tuner log this info, if so can I also thange my shift points with it?
I don't feel like I'm running it quit as high as I could before shifting. I don't know if it would make any et diff or not but would like to experiment with it.

Yes a nice tuning suite like efilive or hp has awesome datalogging and tuning capabilities. If your tuner uses either he could work with you remotely if you had whatever he uses.

He used hp to tune my car, so what would you suggest. Are you talking hand held when you say suite.
I'm still a newb to this electronic tuning thing.

Hp isn't a handheld and can have a steep learning curve. Is your tuner available to log at the track with you? What rpm did it pek hp at. Do you have a graph?

I'm 2 hours from my tuner and don't get down to his area very often. I tried at the fest last year but he was super busy, but he did make some shift point changes at my request. I was shifting into 5th before the 1/4 so it was shifting way to early since I'm only at 6000 in fourth. So my guess is it may be shifting the rest of the gears to soon but not sure of that. I could probaly meet him some other time at lucas oil to do some fine tuning. camaro

I would check over your shift points, plus your cam is still pulling up there. You shouldn't be shifting into 5th with your cam, gear, and overall combo. Sometimes you have to go over tunes and adjust one or two things, not a big deal.

Triple disc can be locked more, and would work better for a blower combo.

So sounds like I should just get my free reflash and reinstall mine then . When we kept it in 4th gear it picked up .4 and 4 mph.
I would really like to have something to data log and adjust shift points and other little things.

If you are going to drive your car on the street much I would get a triple disc with lockup but if its mainly a track car I would run a single disc with no lockup

Its mainly a street that will see the track half a dozen or so times per year. Whats the advantage of the triple disc? I only put about 3000 miles a year on it and not concerned with mileage or stuff like that.

What rpm does it shift? Is say it needs to shift about 6600 to 6800 and you only want it drop to 5200-5500 on the shift.
