Very nice, I am liking the pre-production more and more, but I still hope those are not the production headlights.

i noticed that too...was gonna post something bout it but you beat me to it! i think we are gonna find that GM is stringing us along and either a) the gas cap hasnt moved and its all a ha-ha joe, or b - they put it someplace that'll be cooler than the original location.

we'll have to wait and see.

edit: the problem with that is that i went and looked at the jalopnik pics on their site, and from the looks of it - that little incongruity is actually snow or cloud reflection in the nice black paint. STILL - i cant find a trace of a gas filler door on the car - even with a low res cam you should STILL see a gas filler door (trust me...i have a black car - taken pics with low res cam, can still see gas filler door...icky.) somewhere on th ecar and i cant make it out.

im thinkin they hid it behind the license plate ala 3rd gen...or something like that. (keep the lines clean)

I can't believe I am the first one to make that joke with these new pics. Thought some chickin' little would be running around within the first page yelling the sky is falling.

As for the watermark....I agree, move it, but they put it all over the car so that someone else can't just take their picture, cut out the background (or anywhere that the watermark is) and pawn it off as their own.

Anyway, I think things are really looking good. More hope for the filler door, but we could still be looking at one of the early mules that probably has a "tank in the trunk" at the moment. I think the grill looks a little bigger too, which is unfortunate. Really, the concept's grill was awesome and should have stayed. The headlights look better in these pics than they did on the white one, but I still say they need to go to a single light, preferably the halos.

Overall, it looks great. Good work GM, keep it up.

The gas cap is right there on the passenger side. Later when I get home I'll try to enhance the pic better in PS so we can see it better...but it's definitely there.

you can kinda see some salt/snow residue ending at the filler door itself - as though it had been recently opened.

Those are on the recently imported aussie car. Look at the black one that was driving around . . .

I am beginning to like the Camaro again... early prototype photos weren't looking so hot in my opinion. Yet, I think I am going to have to see one in person to make my final decision. I am seriously thinking of getting one of these next year (or whenever they come out)... so far it's either the camaro or a Cayman.

I think if I were to buy the Camaro I'd have to purchase some aftermarket mod's to get it mean and tough looking.

Here's what I'd do:

-get rid of the dual front lights and convert to one single halo style light... it's just super mean looking w/ one light in the front. (I am sure someone will offer an aftermarket mod for this).

-cut out the rear vents and make them functional

-racing stripes (if not a factory option) are a must

-tint the windows slightly

...that's about all I can think of...probably wouldn't set you back more than a couple grand.

well, im hooked once again. i thinkn that is the first time ive seen a staright on shot of the front, and those double headlight (i know, they are from the autozone parts bin) look really cool, and would make a cool production option. im loving the reverse mohawk, im glad that stayed. every time i see this thing, it gets better and better, and i love it

I would like to see the crew get inventive with the gas cap - like the old Caddy that had the gas cap in the taillight or maybe try to put under the license plate

Anyway I am buying - the pics are great and the lines on the car still get me very excited - she is beautiful!

And there is a good chance that much of that may be done from the factory, the lights are most likely going to be single (we were told that the prototype lights weren't the real ones, but I dont think that we were told what the real ones would be like). And they may or may not be halo's.

The vents may or may not get cut out, but even if they were they won't be truly functional. They will just get a little bit more air back there, if they are cut out. But they won't have ducting directing the air to the brakes.

Stripes will likely be availible from the factory, almost always have been for the Camaro as far as I know.

And the tint, that could probably be done for you by the time you pick it up, unless you mean like a red or green tint to match the body. If thats the case . . .
