ssalter, good idea, very common for guys to do on cars that have OEM HID's in the headlight. And not quite as "illegal" because the fogs dont point into oncoming traffic's eyes!

I havent heard any information as to what bulb type it is. I'll be happy to check for you when I get home with my car this tuesday!

There is two ays you can go about the fog lights:
1. Minor modification HID kit
2. Housing replacements

There is no matching HID bulb for the bulb in the factory fog lights... you will need to silicone the bulb in the housing and cut and splice the factory wires. Its not as bad as it sounds....

The other option is the whole fog light housing replacement with the HID bulb already in the housing. Then it is a pretty easy plug in system. The housing kit gets pricey tho!

Ok.... Well what we need is someone with an rs car to check the bulb size, and then we can see what we need to do, I have a silverado and I bought a $80(shipped) Japanese hid kit new in the box, had em for 2 years love em, my truck didn't come with fogs but I added em and got an I think h4 bulb size kit(same $80 eBay Japanese) hid kit for the fogs, and as far as wiring..nada, all the ballast have a female bulb size plug, same as a 9005 bulb, so all u have to do is get 4 of the weatherpack metal pins, and two plastic male headlight pigtails from oreileys, take your factory rs car fog/drl connector apart, put your new metal pins on, unless there the same, and put the 9005 bulb style plastic end on your wires, boom bam, plug and play! No splicing!

This is the bulb that GM is using in all their new vehicles. This came out of an 09 Silverado and GM is switching over from the 9145.

Just got my car... owner's manual says the part number for DRL's (RS) is P13W. If your car is a non-RS, it's PS24W. Never heard of bulb numbers like that. Those may be GM part numbers that cross reference to standard bulb numbers.

yes... 5202. hahaha... The bulb in the picture above is what they are using in the new Camaro. If you look close in this pic, you can see the rounded style bulb in there.

So 5202 is the generic part number for the PS24W, what about the P13W?

you pick the color during checkout. most of what i do is through group buys using paypal. I have sold a lot on http://www.gmfullsize.com/forum/show...202+hid&page=6 and check out http://www.g8board.com/forums/showth...light=5202+hid i am not sure if these links will work, but you'll get the impression of what I have been doing on other forums. if they dont work, email me at sales@spencershids.com and i will link you so you know what you are getting into when dealing with me. i have contacted bfxenon.com to see if they are interested in dealing with me. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE dont silicone your brand new cars!!!

Heres a shot of the P13W bulb in the "drl" for the guys with RS package. It looks just like the 5202 bulb. My guess is that it's the same bulb but running at 13W, where the 5202 runs at 24W im assuming.

Wanna give them a shot? if they dont work, full refund when i recieve them back. worst case, your out the $9.85 to return them to me. I have pulled bulbs out of an rs before and i am damn near positive they are the same base. i was pretty stoked because i am one of 4 people who have these. and out of the 4, the only person who is close to me with level of customer service buys them from me! I have all colors in stock to ship with slim, philips patent ballasts. Can ship today!
