We wouldn't mind offering this, but something like this would require some wiring knowledge. First, you would need somewhere to tie in the power to. You could use an add-a-circuit like is used in our halo kits. Then finding an open spot to put it. Finally, you would probably want a switch mounted somewhere to be able to turn on/off the master.

We can offer the part easy enough. Figuring out what and how to wire it in is not in everyone's bag of tricks. That is why by default we include a USB power adapter and plug.

We will work with any of our customers to get what they want/need. It would be nice if these car manufacturers would offer accessory ports, or at least several open fuse spots in the panels.

First, I would like to say that this is a great product and Joe was very helpful in getting me situated. I do not have a lot of experience with wiring other than installing my subwoofer. So, I was a bit freaked out when I found out I was going to have to re-wire my entire lighting set-up. However with a weekend worth of time and help from several friends I got the front half of my car completed.

I will try to do a more thorough write-up later. However, I got some decent video last night and wanted to post it up.

For your reference, I have the following system.
• Night Owl
o Master and Key Fob
o 3 x SL Modules (Only 2 are installed at this time. The 3rd will be installed for the rear of the car in the next few weeks)

• AAC/Oracle:
o 2 x RGB Large Halos (one in each headlight)
o 4 x RGB Small Halos (one in each headlight and on in each fog)
o Plasma Fogs/DRL's
o Front Ghosted LED side markers
o RGB Grill Strip Lights
o I have 4 afterburner tail light strips to be controlled by the Night Owl system in the near future
o I have Rear Ghosted LED side markers to be controlled by the Night Owl system in the near future

• I have some Blue LED strips mounted in the wheel wells that are just on an on/off switch

• I have switches mounted in my center console to turn the SL Modules on/off as well as for my AAC/Oracle mail slot bar and my blue LED wheel well lights.

In the near future I will most likely add some strip lights to the engine bay as well as the trunk. I may also do some under car lighting but am not sure about that part yet.

So you can pretty much link any of your LED lights to this system. The main issue is that you have to run wires for all lights to each SL module so be prepared with a lot of wire and more time than you would expect.

I was at a car show in Houston last night with 918 cars. The AAC guys were there and came over to check out the system. They liked it.

Just wanting to let everyone know of a minor issue that one of our users reported, and we just found the cause. If you leave any of the SL or HP modules powered on for over 49 days, all devices may turn on to a random color. Most people turn the modules off or have them turn on with the ignition, so this would never be an issue. Simply turning it off and back on once at least every 49 days will eliminate the issue.

We will do free firmware updates, so if this is important to you, you can mail back in the device modules and we'll update them and return to you. However, I don't expect this to effect many people since only one user has reported the issue.

Great looking!! Mine is currently in the shop being wired up as we speak!! I have more lights so was a big challenge for the shop. I was tooo wimpy to try on my own nor the time. I plan on getting for my boat as well. In fact that marine installer wants to see system when my car is complete.
I think anyone selling/owning LEDs would want.

Should be interesting. All my lights are also run to switches in my cupholder and Armrest to all individual control of lights. Night owl will mainly due Color and patterns. Default will be red..

Sounds great! I still need to do my rears and to run a few more light strings.

Make sure and post video once completed.

Thanks for this info - I had this issue as well. I flipped my switch to ignition mode and it was corrected.

Not the best video in fact pretty awful but wanted to show hex vent and breath option. Started to rain so had to pull in to garage. Will attempt better video later

Night owl system rocks

Look for hex vents left of screen

I don't know if this has been answered yet. I didn't see any comments. Is the android app expected to drop any time soon. I saw it was suppose to be out this summer.

From what I have been told first of the year. You could pick up a used apple device fairly cheap being an iPod or cheap used cell but has to have iOS 6 to run if correct.

I must say the night owl system is a must for anyone with LEDs.

On that note...
Will there be an update soon to support IOS 7 now that it's out?

On another note...
I keep seeing posts of the "breathe" mode, and I love it, but it keeps me thinking that a 'heartbeat' mode would be totally awesome too. As in, follow the typical waveform you see on a hospital heart rate monitor (except clip the values below 0, obviously), or dumb it down further if that would work better, but same idea. Would that be too difficult to do?

Something like that in red through the hex vents (or my LGM vented hood) would get me all giddy with geekiness.

You can alter the breath pattern to go faster or slower or different fades. I haven't found one to do heart beat yet but haven't played with a lot. I have iOS 7 and works great. Been on iOS 7 for months now without any issues.

Thanks all. Our app does work just fine on iOS7. We made sure of this weeks ago. The app requires iOS6 or later.

We did have a setback on the Android app. The guy who was helping us out fell through. The good news is that we've got a talented android developer working hard on it now and is making good progress. We're hoping to have it fully ready by December.

I don't know of a good way to do a heartbeat with the different program types available now. We'll add this to our wish list to add in the future.

The video doesn't really show how smooth the fading is. We've got the smoothest fading in the industry.

Here is something to try to get a "heartbeat":

1. Create an "Alternating Strobe" program.
2. For "Channels 1" select the channels that you want to heartbeat.
3. For "Channels 2" leave this empty (no channels).
4. Leave the colors default (Color 1: red, Background: black). Color 2 is not used, and can be set to any color.
5. Set "Num Strobes" to 2.
6. Adjust "On Duration" and "Off Duration".

Here are a few alterations:
- Set the background to about 50% red.
- Invert the colors: (Color 1: black, Background: red).
- Change Color 1 of this inverted color from black to 50% red.

Let me know how you like it.

You're absolutely right, we haven't updated much lately. We've been working very hard on a lot of fronts. A lot of this, current users wouldn't be interested in. Mostly, we're working to refine our products to be able to increase production. We have been swamped with orders this summer, and especially since CamaroFest. Being able to streamline the process, will allow us to spend less of our time building kits, and more time innovating. I am still personally involved in every sale, and involved in the assembly of every kit. So we're spending a lot of time now getting this all handed off to partners.

We have been selling SL modules in limited quantities. A few of our early adopters have had an issue with the SL module, and we came up with a fix that seems to be holding. Moving into full production on the SL modules is a high priority for us right now. We're seeing an increase in demand for them.

As for the ABL kits, we're working to get a company that will be able to mount the LEDs to cables, and we'll begin beta testing these shortly.

We are a small company, and we're learning how to grow. We're working on moving into dealer channels with plans that this will free us up to work on the remaining products.

Thanks for everyone's support. We're looking forward in adding to our system with some cool new products.
