Stock Strut Failed Due To Lowering Springs

I Installed the H&R Super Sport Springs about 2 months ago and today making a Uturn my Driver side Front strut gave out and broke. Now im on the search for some aftermarket struts. Any suggestions?

Not sure how the springs could do this. Sounds more like an installation error

I dont think so because everything seemed right and I had taken aggressive turns before with no problem. I had heard that TOO much drop would cause premature wear and failure of the stock struts and shocks
