i knew that car looked familiar lol yeah i'm gettin anxious to order my rotating assembly . . . i wish it would be ready by end of summer but i don't make enough for that :( next spring will have to do. hopefully you get those lifters quick and get her running again!!

An unfortunate lifter issue. Should be back together this week. Can't believe my luck sometimes. Hope this is the last set back for awhile....Power Tour is only a month away.

Sad thing is that everything was ready to go but there was just enough concern in some initial tuning feedback to not risk any full pulls. Btw, this intake just doesn't come out with a few bolts. It's completely dismantled.....

Update!!!

Its official......I'm gonna miss Power Tour and I'm pissed. Soooo.....more mods!!!!

Pretty big mess goin on in the form of new boxes showin up daily as of late, bench full of misc parts, lots of pop cans, more changes in direction than the wind, etc....but we now have a plan....lol, again.

Most pics suck, but we're on the fly, so bare with me.

First, the carnage....





Wire harness diet came out great. All unused wiring from stock are gone all the way back to the PCM. Lengthened injector wires so they now come up from the bottom of the intake instead of laying on top. More details once the intake is back on.



New catch can....which will be cleanly located in a less than obvious spot



Valve cover mods:
- Machined off Virginia Speed
- Drilled holes in the rear to accept -10 lines for ventilation
- Adding baffles





Provisions for IAC logs to help balance the runners machined in place.



For reference....they look like fuel rails as seen here under this intake.

Couple misc mods.....

One of my favorite mods is the solution we came up with for a throttle cable and bracket. Stock cable wasn't going to work, Kinsler didn't provide anything, so another custom piece was needed. Working with a machinist that does some killer work came up with this simple bracket based on a napkin sketch and some basic dimensions. Using a Lokar cable and LS1 braket, it came out perfect. Same guy is making a handful of other goodies and will post those up soon enough.

If you look close it bridges across the front of the valley cover using the two front bolts which end up counter sunk to the bracket.




May eventually anodize it, but don't have time now....playin with keeping it brushed or polish it.





Since the intake was in a million pieces, I noticed a couple of the linkage rods that were anodized black had some of the finish missing in places. Wasn't doing a whole lot one afternoon, so i got the sandpaper and air tools out.
