Need Oil Capacity and Weight for V6 Please!!

i believe the capacity i saw was 7.6 quarts for the v6, is that with filter cartridge change, also do what is the recomended oil weight in the manual for the v6, thanks very much, trying to go to autozone to stock up on mobil one sale before the car comes in

Owners Manual section 11-2
Engine Oil w/ Filter

3.6L V6 Engine : 6-qts
6.2L V8 Engine : 8-qts
(L99 & LS3)

V6L : SAE 5w-30 GM6094M
Do Not use 10w-40,20w-50 or any other viscosity grade oil not recommended

V8L : SAE 5w-30 / GM4718M (L99 & LS3) Mobil 1 is Factory fill ..
Do Not use 10w-40,20w-50 or any other viscosity grade oil not recommended


AC Delco Filter for the V6L # PF459G/*PF2129 *easier to find (Bumper to Bumper Auto Parts @ around $5.10 ea.)

Hum why are they showing a different oil part? I thought both has Mobile 1 from the factory??

i also thought it came with mobil one from the factory, is that not correct? and the v6 uses a filter replacement cartridge not an actual filter correct? i guess i had the capacity wrong i thought i saw in the specs for the motor it was 7.6 qts.

Mobile 1 is Factory fill only with the V8 ..

I have the 2LT / RS and had my oil and filter changed already , just like the manual states : 3.6L takes 6-qts of Dino 5w-30 w/ AC Delco filter# PF2129 ..
After a couple more oil changes (1500 & 3000) I do plan to switch to Mobil 1 at around 4000 or 5000 mi. and then change every 4500-5000 or 4-5 months which ever comes first or use the OLM @ 10-15% ....

Other Oil Filters are :
Wix / Napa Gold filter # 57090 / 7090
