I've read the entire thread and am curious as to what the general consensus is with this TB on the LLT? What improvements come from having a ported TB as opposed to the stocker?

Ok... I'll ask again... What improvements come from having a ported TB as opposed to the stocker? (As in bore diameter, flap material, do you program the electronics to open faster)

In the first post in this thread, there's a video of the CNC process. In post 21 there is a picture of the Vmax CnC ported throttle body ( on the left) and a stock unit on the right.

There's a huge amount of metal the throttle body has to overcome to start the air flow. All that is CNC'd out for improved throttle response.

CNC is more consistent than hand ported units.

The electronics of the unit is not tampered with to make it a plug and play unit.

I installed mine last Wednesday. It makes a big difference in throttle response. I was really surprised in the difference it made, but I have LT's, CAI and a tune too. Refund for the core was fast. Thank you.

Just installed mine. Have noticed just slight difference. But maybe need to go for a longer drive. What I noticed is that I need a catch can

Put a Vararam wedge and get even better throttle response.

Ive seen 15 RWHP plus on dyno runs on this forum. Usually you pick up HP from them, but everyone picks up throttle response from the CnC porting.

Stock is 90mm. Since the porting is phased in to the throttle body, Im not sure of how much the face is opened, but its a clear amount

The reason I like the CNC ported units is I don't have to worry about them being over ported when I sell them. We have almost 6000 units out there and the pattern is consistent every time with the CNC Machine.

Quick question on the TB, is it port-matched to the bore of the IM or will we need to bore out the IM a little bit for it to be flush?

If you do additional porting, you risk surging or causing the car to go into reduced power. The Vmax units are plug and play
