'13 or '14 1LE dilemma... solved... for me...

'13 or '14 1LE...? Silver 1SS with dual mode V8 music maker and nothing else.

I want the best bang for the buck, the best handling muscle car for the least cash, so a '13 1LE would be the way to go now that the '14 Camaro refresh is out (better deals, right). Plus I see at Chevy.com that the '13 has 1,000 bucks cash back! Nice.

But wait... (insert record scratching noise here) the new front fascia looks good to me and the new rear is not a deal breaker, so that put me on the fence ... until I see that the manual Recaros from the Z28 will be available in the '14 SS. Oh, hail (sic) yes, I must have those seats. Thanks to Ford for making their Recaros available in the GT.

Well there goes my least cash theory, dang it. Let's see now, no cash back plus the cost of the Recaro seats option, how much will that be I wonder? I hope the seats can be optioned alone and not packaged with a performance enhancing sunroof or something. I may never pull the trigger, argh.

My dealer made my choice easy lol I was waiting to see the 2014 before I made my order on a 13 1LE... Apparently, the cut off date was March 21st over here... so 2014 it is lol

Last orders for the 13 model needs to be in by April 18/19 (can't remember which). The order info will be available for the 2014 just before that, but pricing will not be out until June ish. Start of production for the 14MY is July.

It looks like I will be ordering a 2014 SS, 1LE, NPP w/recaros if I can get that with out having to purchase other options. If not I will order a 2013 and just add seats later.

The Recaros will be available on the SS coupe. http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=285431

I thought it would be an agonizing decision for me too cause I love the 2013 1LEs so much, but I'm going with a 2014. Was gonna get the RS package but I think I will trade that for the Recaros.

I love my 13 1LE. I will be trading it for a 14 1LE with the Recaro seats in the red hot color (torch red) I hope.

Just curious. Those going with the 2014 over the 2013. What is the selling point? The styling or the recaro option?

For me its the styling. I always liked the non RS headlights but planned on getting RS when I was looking at a 13'. Now to me the non RS heads and tails looks better without the chrome strip so I have a chance to save money by not getting that package. The Recaros are a huge bonus and if they aren't priced to the moon I'll be getting them. I'm also waiting to see the new color HUD and am glad that they didn't change the interior much. I haven't heard anything about a wheel change so hopefully the SSX wheels are still around and look good with the new fascias.

X2. I'm surprised GM hasn't given a date for when we can expect to see the new 1LE & ZL1.

After a while, I think the 'refresh' does look better...Cant wait to see the 14' 1LE and ZL1

GM released that information the same day they released the Z. Look for the link to the dealer brochures for the info.

You'll probably want to sit in the Recaro's before ordering them. Recaro's tend to be rock hard. The ones in the Mustang GT haven't gotten great reviews for comfort. For an all out track car like the Z/28, it makes sense, but for a road car with actual bumps in the roads...hmmm.

I am 5'10" and a muscular built 220lbs. I have had factory Recaros in two other cars and loved them. I took one of the cars on a couple of short road trips, longest being 8 hours one way with no issues or discomfort. As you stated they may not be for everyone but I won't think twice about ordering them in my 1LE as that is one of the 2014 selling points for me.

Although i have never driven a car with recaros I am excited to have them. It might be a good idea to sit in them before ordering but only chance of that is if they have a demo car at a south Florida car show. I'm not too concerned to be Honest.

I wish GM would put out some pics of a 2014 1LE. Any one else think the hood wrap will be a 2013 item only? Seems like a lot more work to wrap the hood with the heat extractor in it.

I agree but GM said the ZL1 and 1LE features will cary over so I take that to mean the black hood and wheels remain. Of course that interpretation is mine based on what I read. I wish they would at least tell us when we can see one. I am surprised nobody on the forum has done a photoshop rendering on both, thought this would have happend by now.

Anyone consider just buying the Recaro seats for your 2013...I'm sure we can by the seats once the updates are being built...or some unfortunate soul wipes out and you get a salvaged pair! I would think/hope they have the same dimensions to fit in the 2013 bolt downs.

I stay in a Detroit suburb as well, and I'm opting to wait it out for the 2014 1LE
...
The Recaro seats and me being able to save up another few thousand for a down payment without having to dip into the savings account is reason enough for me
