Fairly new to the forum, but decided to go ahead and start a build thread...new Camaro owner, but I seem to be intrigued by the car enough to want to change some things and make it uniquely my own. I suspect this build will take a while due to the dreaded "warranty" restrictions, but I plan to enjoy every minute of it. Wish me luck!!

Thanks Muddflap. Here are a few before and after pics of the phantom grille I just put on. Please excuse the road grime. Just got back from Shreveport and needed to wash it, but wanted to prep the fitment first before the install. Definitely washed it though before I completed the install.

I love that grill. Where did you find it?

I got it off Ebay. There are several sellers selling them, but some do not offer the pair. I got the set for less than 150.

Garbage Stock Exhaust vs Muffler Delete

Here is a clip of my stock exhaust. This is how it was when I purchased the car. The left has a rattle inside it. Maybe a baffle?---nevermind the grunt at 1:03. I'm getting to old to be climbing up off the concrete lol...not really, but really!

Now here is a clip of the improved mufflers deleted! Much more aggressive sound. I kept the resonator.

Started dipping!

Got bored last night so I decided to start dipping. This was my first attempt at it, and I think it went rather well.

Thanks yall. Still have quite a ways to go, but it's coming along. I can never decide what to do next. One minute I'm like, lets focus on appearance. Then the next minute I'm like, performance! Just gonna take it one week at a time.

Dipped some more

Okay so the taillight bezels and bow tie came out well so I thought I'd attempt the wheels. What a task!! First of all, dipping 4 wheels took about 1.5hrs including cleaning first, masking, and dipping. 4 coats on each wheel. I went thru just about 2 cans of Plastidip. I'm somewhat of a perfectionist, so in my opinion they could be better, but not bad for my first attempt at such a large project. I did take the extra time to cover the rotors and calipers with trash bags that way I didn't have to remove all 4 tires. In hindsight, I think it would have been easier in the long run if I had just removed the tires. So if anyone tries it, I would recommend that instead. You live and learn I guess. I only masked off the wheelwells because it was a little windy and I didn't want to have any big mistakes to clean up after.

Before and after pics:

T-plates showed up

Well my T-plate finally showed up today. Seems like it took forever to get here, but it was worth the wait. I like it a lot.

What I did to my SS today

Stopped by QT this morning to get him his coffee...93 that is.

Ok so after putting some more black on the SS, I decided I couldn't wait any longer to visit Big Worm and take care of blacking everything else out. My appointment originally was just to do all the lights in charcoal minus the headlights and turn signals, but after seeing the taillights, I had to add the rear trunk blackout because without it, I felt like it was like looking a naked baby's butt. Then after seeing the fogs done, I had to have the mail slot blackout too
...Needless to say I busted this weeks mod budget, but the guys took care of me and the install went smooth. I couldn't be happier! Take a look.

Just wasn't enough

It just wasn't enough to go to Big Worm today, but when I got home from work, I decided to go ahead and take a few minutes to complete the letters blackout. It didn't take too long thank goodness. I'm pretty pleased with it. Here you go.

Good day for painting

The weather held up pretty well today unexpectedly, so I decided to attempt my first try at painting.

As of right now, I'm literally watching the paint dry. So here are some preliminary pics of the current progress. I will post some more pics after I'm done. Still need to do some wet sanding before I can apply the black and clear it.

I had a plethora of paint at home to choose from. Unfortunately I did not have any de-greaser, so I turned to the old trusty Palmolive ...Washed and rinsed the engine cover and the fuse box cover first, then wet sanded it with 1200grit and washed/rinsed it again. Then I primed it and waited for it to dry before masking off the area that I wanted to paint yellow. I applied the yellow and that's where I am now......just watching the paint dry.

How do you like your ADM CAI and scoop? I've been thinking about getting it too, but the price is steep. Just curious if it's worth it or if I should find a cheaper one?

Finished painting

Ok so we have had a bit of rain over the last few days, so painting had to come to a slow crawl. Yesterday I finally got it finished thank goodness. Definitely got tired of painting for the moment.
