Roto-Fab Engine Covers

Thought you guys might be interested in the engine covers that I originally had planned for my car. I thought they looked really good, but I liked the polished just a little better.

I ended up getting this

I paid $349 for mine (polished aluminum with etched flames & logo). I didn't think that was too bad considering the the plastic ones painted body color are $255 on E-bay. The cool thing is you can make it look the way you want.

yeah 349 isn't terrible for a complete custom cover i guess. I could have sworn they were charging 500 too. Maybe they lowered the price.

The "$499 Buy it now" covers we listed on ebay included the covers and the customers choice of chrome, carbon fiber finish or custom automotive paint as well as painted on lettering of the buyers choice. When we offer a choice of finishes in one listing, it's necessary to set the "buy it now" price to cover the most costly finish.

The covers start with a base price of $279.95 which includes the covers along with the necessary hardware for installation. The covers are designed to mount using GM mounting hardware for our covers. Each cover has four mounting points which are made to accept GM rubber isolators. All mounts are TIG welded to the covers in a fixture to ensure accurate location. We include the studs that screw into existing bosses on your valve covers. After initial installation, our covers go on and off without tools.

Red anyone?! Curiousity got the best of us, so we decided to see what the Roto-fab engine covers would look like in red with the rally stripes.

Roto-fab can do any color combo for you. That's one of the cool things about this type of product. You can get covers painted, with carbon fiber finish, polished or chrome. The choice is yours.

If you are into custom graphics or air brush work, these covers make an excellent "canvas" for anything you would like to put on them. Here's a set of covers custom made for a local customer. They are a little different in shape (compared to Camaro covers) to fit the application; however, you can do similar things with the Camaro covers.

Roto-fab plenum cover used engine covers

Roto-fab is now producing a fiberglass plenum cover that goes over your existing cover. Installation time is about 5 minutes! The cover is strictly a cosmetic cover designed to be used with our aluminum engine covers. The outcome is very similar in appearance to the painted yellow plenum cover shown in this post. However; painting the stock plenum cover as we did with the yellow cover requires removal of the fuel rail assembly as well as 4 intake manifold bolts. Our new fiberglass cover mounts to your fuel rail studs and eliminates the need to pull the fuel rail and intake bolts. We are offering a variety of finishes including body colors and carbon fiber hydrographics. "Paint ready" covers are available as well.

Not yet. We don't have any finished covers in stock right now to install with our plenum covers. We are running another batch right now! I will post when we have good pics.

I'm becoming increasingly interested in these. Someone posted a thread on this topic a while ago, and I thought they looked great. I'd love to pop my hood with these underneath.

We want to tackle the V6, but we are very busy with the V8 products right now. I would like to share one of our experiences with the V6 guys.

After producing the G8 GT intake and cosmetic covers, we developed a V6 intake for the Pontiac G8. We thought since there were so many V6 cars, this would be a huge market for us. Also, we had many PMs on the forums asking for such a product.

We learned there were only a hand full of enthusiasts such as you guys on this board. Like you, the ones that are passionate about their car are spending some of their free time researching upgrades for their V6 vehicle. The vast majority of the V6 owners seemed to want only the appearance of the car with no concern about performance or appearance enhancements under the hood.

Back to the G8 V6- aside from that initial group on buy on the forum, sales were and still are very slow.

We think Camaro owners may be different, so we do plan on developing V6 products. I just thought you guys deserve a straight forward answer as to why we focus on V8 equipped cars first.
