VECTOR Motorsports / ZZ Motorsports Stage II Camaro Package Completed !!
Vector Motorsports in Clinton Township, Michigan....in conjunction with ZZ Motorsports in Pittsburgh, PA, has completed development and testing of their first 2010 Camaro Stage II system.
The Stage II kit was developed to offer LS3 owners a cost effective way to dramatically increase HP and Torque, while maintaining the streetability of daily driver. The Stage II kit includes: Custom Grind Billet Core Stage II Camshaft Comp Pushrods PSI Valve Springs Custom Ported Intake Manifold Rotofab Cold Air Intake 1 3/4 Kooks Headers (your choice of Catted or Offroad X-pipe) As shown below, Dyno Testing proved a 106 HP increase at the rear wheels!! And drastically increased Torque across the RPM range. All testing and tuning was done on Vector's in house Mustang Dyno ![]() The full kit is priced VERY competitively, and is the best "bang for your buck" available for the Camaro. If you want to see what this car can do, here is a brief look at a video of the car while tuning on the dyno: Here is a copy of the dyno results: ![]() This is a copy of detailed dyno results, and is highlighted with notes which show the improvement over the baseline numbers: ![]() ![]() Yes that is right, this includes a Roto-Fab intake...The very first Roto-Fab CAI to be dynoed was tested on this car. Roto-Fab will have the pleasure of giving you those results, but let's just say it worked awesome, looked amazing, and fit perfectly! ![]() For those of you who want to hear what this cam sounds like....here you go!! This is with the factory mufflers still installed... We did test the car with other muffler combinations, and the factory mufflers will support this power without any modifications, if you want a different sound you can change the mufflers, but the HP gains remained the same. Here are some other photos from the build and testing phase of this project: ![]() ![]() ![]() From being the owner of the first car to have this package installed , I can say it runs, sounds, and looks amazing!!! At car cruises people flock to this car and love the sound. On my 5 hour trip home from the install I average 23.6 MPG all the way across the state of Ohio!! That is amazing when you consider the power that this car is producing! A huge thanks goes out the Vector Motorsports for getting this project completed so quickly, and getting it out there so other LS3 owners can reliably add power to their vehicles. ![]() Others may try to copy this package, but the results speak for themselves!! Vector and ZZ Motorsports have hit a homerun on this package, and we think the Camaro public will agree! If you have any questions regarding this package, pricing, or installation you can contact Kirk at Vector Motorsports or Mark at ZZ motorsports. Last edited by ZZcamaro; 06-24-2009 at 08:46 AM. |

Something is not correct in the first post. The dyno run for TEST was done before the BASE run. How can that happen. Also early in the AM unless Vector works at night. Whasup??

Last week we had it reporting it was 2015. The dyno on the other hand is accurate within 1HP and calibrated every week. |

I agree though, I would have expected the total cost of what they did to be less. I'd like to see a break down of what each part costs. Still good work and impressive gains. I think I'll be happy with an intake/cam/exhaust camaro!

I live in Mobile Alabama. It would be a helluva trip but if you could gaurantee the work and the gains in some way I would certainly be interested. Had a GT 500 want to race but I'm not stupid.

its great gains for N/A but the price will probably have to drop before you sell a ton more. You should offer a econo package with different headers then the kooks. I'm sure they are nice, and who knows maybe they are even given you some extra hp then the average bear, but them things are incredilbly expensive. Maybe you got a deal I don't know but the prices that were posted on this forum where insane.
Having said all that I can't wait till you get started on the l99 and get that VVT put to the test! Great work!

My car has arh log tubes on it. The stage II package will include Kooks headers.
If you want to move up the arh system it can be done but will slightly raise the price. |

Kooks headers system - 2400
Comp Pushrods - 150 PSI valve springs - 450 Rotofab CAI - 450 Camshaft (guessing) - 450 ---------------------------- Total Parts -3900 Prices were taken from mfr's websites, except for PSI springs which didn't list them so I found them somewhere else, and the camshaft, but that's about avg for custom cams. So you're paying about 1,050 for labor (based on the 4950 price listed) which is VERY GOOD. 1000 bucks to have them install your headers, hang your exhaust, put on the intake... and oh yeah... take all the accessories off the front of your engine, drain the coolant, take the heads off, take the timing cover/chain off, take the old valve springs off, put the new ones in, take the old pushrods out, put new ones in, unbolt the engine from its mounts, lift it up a little to take the camshaft out (possibly - maybe not I don't know what's involved on the Camaros, just guessing), take the old cam out, put the new one in, make sure it's degreed right, put the heads back on, put the timing chain/cover ack on, torque everything up, re-install the accessories, put new coolant back in, and tune it. And you people are griping about price? Get over yourselves. I remember one guy was quoted by his dealer the price for installing the GMPP HOT cam was 2500. TWENTY FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS to install a camshaft. No new valve springs. No new pushrods. No new headers or exhaust or anything like that. Pretty damn good I'd say. Nice job guys. |

UsedTaHaveA68 ---- You forgot that you have to recover the AC coolant and then recharge the system. Do not need to remove and replace the heads with the cam and spring change.
