This should be COTW instead of the one that's up there now who barely has any posts and just looks horrible, IMO. This is tastefully done and looks very promising. Kudos, and looking forward to seeing more pics.

Back to the build now, I got the TL1 back from paint. I used a GM color, Ashen Gray. my thought is that I wanted a different color other than satin black, and wanted the insert to be a focal point as well. So using a GM Camaro color would also have the same metallic. It looked great when I picked it up.

But when I put it on the car, I did not like it at all! It sticked out like a sore thumb IMO. This is the car inside the garage. It just looks gloss black here. Even in person.

The Ashen does come out, but you have to be up close to see it. From a distance, it looks gloss black and that's not what I want.
So as of today, this is where I'm at. What to do. We (my uncle and I) were debating. We hit the Internet and came up with the C7 Corvette vent.

Keep the vents in Ashen since its so lose to back looking, but has the metallic showing in the sunlight, and the rest in SIM, or just do satin black and know it will look good that way.
What to do, what to do......

I will post pics when the TL1 is painted. Either way, I love my car. It's everything and more I thought of. I love the looks, i love how it sounds (step on the gas and you know there is a beast there), I love the smell.
I am still in limbo on the audio(next project) and working on it now. My goal is to have it all done in the next couple of weeks. And hopefully, all the snow and roads are clear here in Edmonton, Alberta so I can start driving it.....everyday!

The TL1 insert looks misplaced for some reason? I'm unsure why. Maybe the ZL1 Stripe down the middle of the car? Or possibily the 1LE/ZL1 rims? Overall I like what you did though. Looks great! COTW, i'll say it again!

I know this sounds tacky, but I do need to thank everyone who supported me on this project.

My wife number 1. Without her push & blessing, I wouldn't have done it. This was, no is, a totally selfish project. It wasn't cheap, but she understood the whole time. I was away from family at times to work on it, and when I was, she brought the kids and came to visit. Love you!
