I had these headers on my 2010ss, loved them... On the zl1 do you have to trim the belly pan for these to fit?

Awesome! The Stainless Power headers for the SS have been pretty popular so I am glad to see them for the ZL1 as well.

Should not have to be cut or will not have to be cut. There's a difference, lots of guys do not want to alter certain parts of their car and are relying on your word before they spend their money!! So unless you have seen a set of your headers on a zl1 or your R&D department has confirmed this for you how do you know???

this guy had to knotch. maybe if they post in a picture in could clarify.

I know the 1 3/4 slp headers don't touch I have seen picture but the clearance is not huge but would probably work. most say 1 7/8 are better for this car though.

ARH - pan needs cut
kooks - pan needs cut
dynatech - pan needs cut
texas speed - pan needs cut
OBX - pan needs cut (kooks copies)
JBA - not sure have not seen a set on a ZL1.
Stanless works - post said they needed cut
stainless power - ?????? I though they were the same as stainless works though.

I am in the middle of trying to pick headers and am overesearching it like always.

We have done one here and did not have to cut the belly pan and have talked to many customers and dealers who have not had to cut it as well, However we have also talked to dealers who have chosen to TRIM(Not Cut) the lip on the back edge by an inch or so for piece of mind. Here is a Pic of the Install we did.

Thanks, Chris

I wasn't to worried about cutting notches in the pan so I got the 1 7/8 KOOKs ceramic coated black. Nice pipes but paid a fortune here in Canada for them. They might be gold not stainless steel

yeah I would not cut that. sweet thanks for the picture.

I am so stuck between stainless power or dynatech. premium vs decent budget headers.

I am buying from jannety so Kooks are not on the table.

Whats the main differences between the stainless power and your other stainless works branded headers you offer for the ZL1?

I think they said the welding is done in house on the stainless works.

I had already ordered a set of there 2" primary SW headers from Ted. I had no problem spending the extra money on them because I bought a set of SBC turbo 1 5/8 headers off of them when they first started building them, in fact I think it was one of the first sets they built for that style, and back then they were just as expensive as these. The quality is excellent. Can not wait to receive mine and get them installed!

thanks
anthony
