Front fascia with ``mail slot`` for LT models - Camaro Forum - 2010 Camaro / Camaro Z28 SS Forums

I have ordered a 2LT w/ RS love every thing about it except the front fascia i really like the SS fascia with the "mail slot" I don't care that it is not functional I just think it looks bad ass. So is there any way to swap the front fascia of my 2LT for an SS version. Can a Dealer do it or are there after market fascias available?

you will have to go aftermarket ... the mail slot is a key characteristic of the SS only

You should be able to buy the SS fascia from the dealer and get it painted and installed. That is a lot of cash for a mail slot though.

you may want to offer up a trade with a SS guy that wants the "sleeper" look.

I`m not trying to step on your idea or anything but when you mentioned "mail slot" I started thinking about the stinger hood Nickey will be offering and how it would look odd on the SS in another Post, I guess what I`m getting at is you might want to consider a different look if the SS fascia is unavailable or a bit too pricey.

that's a good idea

i expect there's gonna be a few guys on here with V8's who don't like the mailslot.

Yeah I have seen the decal, but it is a highlight for an existing mail slot as I understand it. Also, I had thought about swaping with someone who has an SS who wants the sleeper look but it will be hard to find so looking at other options

I don't have a '10 yet, not sure if I want one, or a '69 Camaro instead. I do not like the "mail slot". I think the front end looks killer with it.
