You bet, it makes every cleaning afterward that much easier. I do all under the trunk & hood areas also....first time detailing sets the pace for future cleaning and protection (imo)

I use a detail spray in those areas since they are not really exposed to the elements.

Back in the day, I was known to wax the battery, gas tank, shocks and rear axle.
I also removed the wheels just to clean the inside of the fender wells.
I still polish the exhaust today.

If you ever go to a National car show you'll see cars competing in 1,000 point inspections. They literally white glove check every inch of the car - heck, they check your carburetor filter for Pete's sake.

mine goes up on the jack stands every winter & gets the underneth cleaned & waxed. Tires get taken off every month & inside rims plus hubs all cleaned. I'm just plain fussy.

Is this a two in one product?

Never came across anything that is both a spray wax and detailer..
What brand makes this?

Edit: Nevermind, found it: http://www.canadiantire.ca/AST/brows....jsp?locale=en

Lots of spray waxes will have slight cleaning power

So...

There isn't much of a difference between this and this then?

Or would the quick wax be better bang for your buck when compared to the quick detailer?
