I'm glad I have a 2010. Hill assist? You've got to be kidding me. I don't know I'd even buy a car with that crap on it. Why in the world would they even put that on a Camaro? Either you know how to drive a stck or you don't.

What's with all this "assist" crap they put on cars now? I saw a commercial for a Ford that parallel parks itself. Whatever happened to learning how to drive? Come on people!

I think it should be selectable, that way inexperienced people can use it and experienced people can just turn it off. Everyone is happy then.

There's a new HSA thread every week, and I'm glad. GM needs to be aware of how much heartburn there is over this issue. I'm hoping that the fact you can't turn it off was just an oversight and they will fix it for all '13 M6 owners.

If it really bothered you that much, you could have asked the cop if he has any nude pix of his wife.

If he says yes, offer him a buck.

If he says no, ask him if he wants to buy some from you.

hope that helps...

Yeah after a hard stop you gotta remember to let the clutch out in neutral to reset the HSA to a lower brake pressure.

Hill-assist is a stupid concept. Noobs should drive automatics, period. People that need to use an e-brake on hills should drive an automatic, as well. It isn't rocket science.

Someone (06_Warrior) said their 2012 doesn't have it, but that must be because it's an automatic or he/she encounters no hills. All the manuals have it, from 2010 onward.

436SS, it's hardly a matter of it hindering rookies. If anything, it probably helps them by preventing the car from rolling backward while they're trying to get going. Unfortunately it also prevents experienced drivers from moving forward.

Full of incorrect information.

It does not release when you give it gas, there is a 2 second delay from when you release the brakes. It even says so in the information from GM.

It was a brand new feature introduced in 2013 on the Camaro

This is incorrect. Do your homework. Pre 13's did not come with Hill Assist. No it's not an automatic and i have been driving manual cars for over 30 years. My hill assist is the parking/E brake.

Even the automatics have it I think. I have a 2012 silverado that has it. Activates all the damn time, even on flat ground. I thought there was something wrong with my trailer. Stupidest thing there is.

Why would an automatic need it? I have been driving for 44 years and no automatic I have had needed it....

I have no idea. If I stop on a slight hill and stop and then go again I have to either wait or give it a ton of throttle and after 2 seconds it will pop free. Idk if its on the automatic cars but the trucks have it without a doubt.

I have said I don't mind the HSA but I do agree we should be able to turn it off.

Oh, yeah, you guys are right. It wasn't on my 2010. I was looking forward to it on my 2013. Until I figured out how it works. It just SEEMS like I've had it forever.

I heard the automatics don't have it, but I've been wrong before (see above!).
