American racing headers=weight savings?

Anybody know how much lighter a set of ARH with cats would be over the stock system? Also people with those LT's, does it become to loud to be a comfortable daily driver? I know "loud" is subjectively different from person to person. My 07 zo6 with lt's and a cam was a little too much when the butterflies were open for a daily. With them closed it was fine. Being that even with the mild to wild switch you can't keep the butterflies closed at idle and under 2k in the zl1. Thanks

ZL1 is going to be similar to your Z06. Weight difference will be negligible.

Get off the ZL1 specific area and just look up weight savings. Several good threads.

the ARH are 14ga tubing I think so if you want wieght saving I would looks at the kooks they are 18ga.

what you have to do on this car is by pass the factory wiring and set it up like the vetts where you can close or open the butterflys if you don't like the volume level at idel. you can even three posistion setu for stock, closed, off.

I am sure you can find the wieghts on the web somewhere of each of these items.

kooks 18 ga
SLP 16ga
ARH, stainless power/works,texas speed, jba, daynatech are all 14ga

Well I think I'm going to order ARH on Monday, so, this is my plan. Anything I take off my car I shall weigh, and anything I put back on I shall weigh. I'm not ready to start doing the work since I haven't even ordered yet, but I'll start a build thread and incorporate that info as soon as I can.
