I drive a 2013 2SS RS 1LE in Victory Red, and am trying to decide whether or not to mod my car because of the future value of the car. Victory red is a delete color, and it's the only year you can get that color with the 1le package, and there are only 240 of them, so it is a rare car. But I'm scared to mod it because it automatically loses the title all original. My 87 IROC Z/28 is all original, and has 15,000 miles, and has never seen rain, but idk what to do with my new 1LE. I'm 17 by the way, my dad gave me the Z/28, but I've never driven it because of the original tires. He thinks I should leave it alone, but idk for sure. Do you guys think it wil gain value?

I would use the cars and do to the cars as you want to. Waiting on the cars top increase in value as if they were an investment is probably not going to happen.....just my opinion.

I've been thinking the same way, so I'm just going to do some bolt-ons, headers, exhaust, intake, a tune and maybe a cam down the line. Nothing that can't be returned to stock later on in it's life.
Now the Z28 ya got.... I would leave that one as is and drive it occasionally.

It's all relative. I sold my '69 Camaro SS in '85 for $5750... about $2000 more than it stickered for. I think GM produced around 35,000 of those...

I plan on keeping anything I remove or replace from my car as its 1 of 183 and you never know, but I bought this car to drive and not as an investment so if no increase in value is seen then that's okay.

All true, I just want to make the right decision. I want to enjoy my car now, but I know I'm not going to keep it forever, so I want to make sure I can get some money for it in the long run. I'm garage keeping it, taking care of the matte wrap with turtle wax, babying it to 1,000 miles , etc. I love my car. The IROC is priceless to my family, so I'm treating that like an artifact, and take it out occasionally to a local car show. The 1le is my daily driver, but from school and back, and weekends too. I probably do some simple bolt ons like intake, headers, etc. Things I can return to stock by keeping all the parts.

Sounds like a solid idea, you can enjoy your car and retain the most valuable possible at the same time. Enjoy man!!!

Mine was built on 8/30/2013. There was only 95 2SS IOM 1LE's built, pretty sweet.

That sounds about right. You can also see the month & year printed on the silver decal in the driver's door jam. And there's another sticker under the car on the rear cradle.

I found this site, ZL1 and 1LE register. It can give you a better Idea of where all the 1LE's are. I as of right now will be the last IOM 2SS 1LE made in 2013 (5/30/2013), I am sure that will change . The last one on the list was built 6/24/2013.
