so im getting the v6 rs package but i want that front fascia of the SS with the "mail slot" scoop... i think it makes it look so much moRE BEAST!!!

how can i go about getting one of those and putting it on??
-is it possible to order my camao with it installed specailly there?
-from dealer specail order after i recieve camaro?
- aftermarket??
-etc?

and any guesses how much?

plus then gotta get rid of old one maybe sell it or somthing cheap...

2 ways to get that look that i`ve heard of
1) a vinyl graphic that is shaped like the mailslot
2) buy an SS front bumper. but that`ll probably be some $$$

i don`t think it`s possible to order a camaro from the factory and have them add the other bumper.

yes your dealer could order an ss bumper, you`d wind up with a spare V6 bumper. or like you said, sell it.

there`s one other option, which could work out real nicely for you:
there`s a fair number of enthusiasts here with V8`s who don`t really like the mailslot look, you MAY be able to contact one of them who`s willing to do a swap.
that`d be an ideal situation.

Wait... there have been a few crashes with the SS, I'm sure parts will be available as more drive that can't handle power.

ya definetely would be nice... i mainly want that dam scoop! so sick! i think i cahnges it completely.. wish v8 got better mpg so i could just buy that....LAMEE

No way to get the "mail slot" on a Non-SS Camaro as of yet. Maybe later down the road you get lucky and find a rear end totalled SS and buy the front

yaaa thats what i was thinking..... also quick question off topic on 4 pack gauges... are there aftermarket sets out yet? or just buy them from dealer for a $h** load overpriced?

Here's your answers.. No and No.. order an SS if you want the mail slot... I have no idea why you want it so bad, it's not functional, never will be.

As for the 4 pack gauges, I think I remember a price quote of about 600 for the kit. If I were you, I'd just order an SS, you'll love it... trust me, I speak from experience. The sweet sweet rumble of 6.2L V8 will make you forget about the gas mileage!

If I was you I'd just get the SS Auto, if you dont your going to spend so much money on upgrades! Then you'll just look back and say WHYYYYYYY

WTF 6 weeks! I ordered the 23 and am still at 1100... i know about alocations but I wanted to stay with that dealership. I get picked up this week. Its my turn! I hope mine turns around that fast, even a week longer with shut down would be amazing! I am really hoping for the car by Sept 10th so I can take it to the F-body reunion in Akron. Otherwise I have to get the tranny fixed in the IROC soon.
