With mine being a 2LT will I be able to tell much of a difference between the Mobil advanced fuel economy vs the extended performance?

In my personal experience, K&N as well as Fram filters leave particulate in the oil. If I were you I'd switch to a Wix or Napa (made by Wix) filter.

You can continue to go to your local Goodyear that you trust. I would stick with the synthetic blend that came in the car. I say this because many of the V6's tend to have oil consumption issues. If your car happens to develop this issue and you have to have warranty work, it will be to your benefit to have proof of oil changes.

Anyone else had this experience with K&N? how about Mobile 1 filters? Read an article comparing filters, Mobil 1 got an "excellent" rating and was mentioned as being nearly identical to K&Ns.

I have always serviced EVERYTHING myself, bikes included. If you can read a service manual and understand it, you can do everything that doesn't require special service tools. It's time well spent with your toys.
Mobil 1 Full Synthetic in everything, oil is cheap compared to engines.

I researched also and since I change my oil every 3,500 to 4,000 miles, I went with Penzoil 5w-30 Synthetic Blend. I've had very good success with Penzoil over the years.

And a Wix filter.
