Anyone familiar with lingenfelter stage 1 package?

I think I may go with the lingenfelter stage 1 630 hp package:
- L650182012 Lingenfelter High Flow Camaro ZL1 Cold Air Intake LSA 2012-2014
- L250150309 Lingenfelter CTS-V Camaro ZL1 LSA LS9 10 bolt Supercharger Pulley Hub
- L220300709 Lingenfelter CTS-V Camaro ZL1 LSA 2.55 8 Rib 10 Bolt Pulley
- L960130709 Lingenfelter Supercharger Isolator Coupling LS9 LSA Engine 2009-2014
- 8PK1655 8 Rib Poly V Belt CTS-V For LPE 2.55 Inch Upper Pulley
- L310065307 Lingenfelter 160 Degree Thermostat

but I a,m adding Stainless power headers doing a cat delete (off road pipes)and flowmaster super 44s

Has Anyone else gone with this package or something remotely close to it?

And what were your gains?

That looks like the JRE +75 hp package, plus a few bits from the 100 if you add headers.

The package is listed as being 630hp, so it should be a 50chp gain.

I'd suggest getting a tune if you plan on adding headers w/ no cats.

I put the JRE kit on my car recently, waiting on headers and whatnot to arrive, and my gains were more wheelspin.

Not saying that is a bad package, however the JRE is replacement of the lower pulley, which is much easier than the removal of the SC.....just saying...

Thanks guys. And yeah Randall I'm just going over my options.

But yeah I plan on doing a tune as well. I'm assuming the more wheel spin=less traction or not being able to hook?

Not a bad package to go with, but I would definitely suggest tuning. Also, I see that you already have a Roto-Fab intake in your signature which is the same part as the Lingenfelter intake system, just re-badged.

Personally, If you plan on tuning anyway, I'd suggest putting together a custom package and get a little more out of it. Feel free to call, PM or email me anytime with questions and I'll be happy to help you out.

Best regards,

Tyler

Thanks and I spoke to them regarding that issue and they took the cai out of the 630 hp package, significantly lowering the price. They just don't have the headers that I am looking for.

And my buddy recommended me to go directly to Dan Maslic here in south fl for tuning

But I will make sure to pm you with my questions. Thanks Tyler

Since you have a 2014, you can have them leave out the solid isolator bearing also because you already have that. I would not change the stock exhaust myself. I would at the very least listen to the car after the headers are installed and then decide if you still want to change mufflers. The car sounds much different with headers. And the stock exhaust is very good on the dyno, the stock exhaust is the reason why the ZL1 is rated 24 hp more than the CTS-V.

Thanks...I'll definitely take that into consideration. And I have a 13 not a 14...I think that's why I need the Isolator bearing.

Sorry, looked at the join date and not the year of the car, yep isolator needed. Good luck with everything.

It's good to change it anyway. The LPE one is still better than the one going in the 14's

Thanks guys. I just spoke to the shop who are going to do the instal, and they said I should get another engine front main seal...have you guys heard of this? I found the gm part number and its like 20 bucks so I'm not worried about the price just wondering why I would need an additional one...

And I spoke with Tyler from JDP, who is a dealer for lingenfelter...After speaking with him, I think I am going with the stage 2 (650hp) and adding headers and exhaust. He built the package suited to my needs with headers and all...it's going to be sick

If your car is an M6 you should make over 600rwhp. My M6 vert has the LPE 630 and a Rotofab air box and it makes 575 with the stock exhaust. With Headers and no cats you should make 610???

crank vs wheel.

These Packages are listed as being crank horsepower, aka before all the drivetrain loss.

I actually went with a custom stage 2 package from Tyler at JDP motorsports, getting headers and exhaust and a tune by Dan Maslic.

http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showth...hp?t=365130..I should be making close to 700hp at the crank and 600+ to the wheels? However the conversion works

I'm not a JRE fan boy at all and don't suggest going with a Dynatech exhaust, but this is an interesting read about the Flowmaster mufflers you want to add. I would keep the factory NPP system or go with a Corsa if you want to upgrade the exhaust.

When I add the headers will I have to do that fuse pull to keep the dual mode open the entire time?

Thanks again for the order Ray. You should break 600 RWHP fairly easily.

The NPP cat-back sounds great with headers IMO. Flow master is also known to cause HP losses due to their internal design. The NPP cat-back can support great power. We just put down 819 RWHP through the NPP cat-back on a 1LE.

It will still be optional; not required.

Thanks Tyler. I think I'll just have the headers installed with the cat delete then. I'm sure that will be aggressive sounding
