Most cars on eBay look way worse in person than they do in pictures.

There is really no way of knowing the extent of the damage without examining the car in person so even an expert would not be able to give you any kind of good estimate by simply looking at those pictures.

This we do know... the air bag went off so it was hit fairly hard, and the insurance company totalled it.

Unless you own a body shop and can look at it in person, I would leave that one alone.

if something seems too good to be true, it usually is. and even if it was fixed up, going to be real hard to sell with a salvaged title. and since the op already owns a camaro, I'm guessing he's looking to flip it for a quick profit.

I agree. If the insurance company totaled it, I would suspect more than $10,000 damage on a 2012 SS with low mileage. I'm thinking there is damage not shown in the pictures that the insurance company used to total the car...bent frame, crush zone in the front, etc.
I would be interested in seeing the report the insurance company used to determine the car a total loss.

Not a repair guy but yeah more than 5 k. If there is a chip on the hood, cause I have one on mine, shop said they need to repaint the whole hood. $1250. So yeah I was thinking 10k or more

So you put in 20k to buy it. Ship it. Put 10k or more into it to fix it. What have you got. A low mileage wrecked rebuild that will never handle like it did originally.

Or, Or, scoot over to auto trader or whatever and find a 2010 SS2 less than 5k miles. They'll be asking about $30, 000. I know because I look two weeks ago

1,250 to paint a hood I can get a Synergy Green bumper painted for under 500. I highly doubt a black hood would cost that much to repaint.

Why would I buy a Camaro with 70 thousand miles? The only reason I am looking at this is because it is a 2012. Also, fully loaded with orange seats and ground effects plus super low miles.

nobody on here can give you an accurate dollar sign for repair ,so don't even bother.....theres alot that's bent, including the headliner with the wrinkle...that means that crumple zone was impacted as well, cars today are designed to absorb impact so when you see one zone with damage, there is more damage then meets the eye

You're much better off with a 70k mile car than with a salvage camaro with all that damaged. You'll probably looking at 2k just to repair the airbags.

And this is coming from a guy that used to buy and sell salvage cars for a living.

On the other hand if you can get it for the right price, like 15k you should consider it.

Why not buy a good solid used car,the asking price is way too high.

If you think it will cost 5k double it trust me it never works out like the plan in your mind.

Now you own a branded title car with $30,000 in it thats worth 18k tops.

Your probably looking at that much just for the airbags. It looks like the pillars might be ok. The damage your seeing on the inside is from the airbags deploying. Price is pretty high for what's needed. You might find a better deal here: http://www.easyexport.us/vehicle-finder/salvage-cars/

If you decide to buy, I have an IOM hood I could sell and my front fascia will be coming off shortly as well.

Most Insurance companies won't even insure a salvage or rebuilt title.
