fuse pull

Is it still necessary/advisable to do the #5 & 20 fuse pull to reset the 2013 1LE computer to get the car out of low octane timing mode? Apparently it's an issue on the earlier Camaros ('10s & 11s), but don't know if we still need to do it. The highest octane we have around here is 91, and that's what I've been running, but I don't know what the dealer put in it before I got it. Also, are there any negative repercussions to doing the fuse pull on the 1LE? Thanks for any info you can give.

It is worth it to do it on your 2013. I did it on mine and noticed a difference. I pulled the fuses, let it sit overnight and was good to go. No negative effects at all.

Yes you still need to do it if you think low octane gas was put in.

No there aren't any negative repercussions.

Do it...you won't regret it. Won't hurt anything.

Thanks everyone! I'm a newbie here, and this is great site--in addition to scads of great info, I got the $1k private offer that saved me that amount on the purchase of my new 1LE, which by the way I've already gotten a ticket in, first in over 20 years. Just sold a Roush Stage 3 427R Mustang.

Won't hurt anything. But isn't necessary unless it has had low octane put in it. My dealer knew all about putting high octane in the SS and the salesman made a point of telling me not to use low octane gas.
