Water in Rear Floor

My wife's 2012 convertible had wet floor boards. I suppose she is now a member of the water management bag replacement club. I have been searching the forums and am thankful for all the info posted. That being said, are there any key issues/problems that she needs to be aware of or to inspect at pick up?

most likely either water management bag or kinked/detached drain tubes.
Check the manufacture date on your 2012...IF it is before April, you probably have the original designed water bag...but in either case, if your dealer is experienced in top repairs, more specifically 5th gen camaro convertible top repairs, they should be able to repair it correctly.
I had my water management bag changed in my 2011 and knock on wood,I have not had a backseat flood since it was changed.

One of the members was also kind enough to set up a facebook group...It is a good support group, reference and exchange of info with others

That was I that started our therapy group back in October of last year when I was fighting GM tooth and nail. I won and so have many others in getting new cars or repurchases. Stop by the group and say hi to us.

Make sure the dealership orders the new drain tubes with the new design water management bag. They don't come together and have different part numbers. My dealer installed mine but just used the old drain tubes while the new ones were being shipped...rain just a little that day and back floor boards flooded big time! Then they had to replace my entire carpet and pad! At least my 2012 45th ( originally bought in Sept 2011) has that new car smell again!

Cheers and good luck!

Could be a leaky door seal also.....that's what mine had. You could see the water traces on the plastic between the floor and door bottom.

Fixed under warranty.

Hello bombgolf,

Sorry your wife is dealing with this leaking issue. Were you two able to visit the dealer yet concerning this issue? If not, I would like to assist you if possible. I can set that up for you and follow up with the dealership through the process. To do so I will need some information from you which you can private message me. Let me know, here to help.
