I'm thinking about taking mine to Garth as well.. Stage 1 though. Obviously a stage 1 wasn't good enough for you but how did you like it?

I did the stage I back in November of last year. I really enjoyed it but felt like I left something on the table.....so I called Garth told him what I was looking to do. The great thing about LEP is they will do the little extra things for you to gain extra HP that other shops will not.

Dumb question from California. How do you guys get away with that when its time to smog? I gotsta think smogging a vehicle must not be required in every state. Yes, I am too lazy to look it up. I love that sound at idle too.

The car has all of it's emission requirments. Should pass no problem.

Nasty sounding and looks awesome! Congrats Ron.

Must have been on an old car in California you don't have to smog you car for the first 7 years... But in Clark county as long as you don't have a check engine light you pass!!!

I don't know Cali. Seriously? You installed CAI and just by looking at it, you didn't pass?

Here in CA, you have to pass 3 tests.

Sniffer
OBD 2
Visual

He failed the visual part. Most likely the sniffer as well if tested...and depending on engine management...maybe that as well.

Another follow up stupid question.

If you fail visual, do you have to remove the CAI? Or just a fine/bribe?

What about cars that come with CAI, such as the new Z/28?
