2014 HUD retrofit into 2010-2013

As the title says, Can we change our current HUD from the current model to the colored one in 2014?
I was wondering if its even possible to do it.
and more importantly how much will it cost to do it?
I remember we had someone in the forum who is specialized with this info, think it was Ofer 2SSRS?
If anyone knows please give feed back.
I would be really interested in this if it can be pulled off.

I think it is a little to early to know if it is possible.

I would want to see how it looked in color, before I decided I wanted it. I think it's possible that having it in color could wind up being more distracting. When everything is one color, it's easier to ignore when you don't need it.

Oh? I thought it would end up looking like the one on the Stingray, to control cost from GM, I might be wrong to speculate this.

It very well could. I haven't looked at what the Stingray has.

To me this is a more clear HUD to look at the track and info at the same time without looking down

i'd be interested in this also. A bit sharper contrast would make the HUD even better..

I like the hud from the stingray. too early to tell if it is compatible. I would do it though and flip my hud box. I have had a vette for too many years grow tired of the same green hud.

If they do fit I'll be changing mine. I'd like to see a red line for the tach in the HUD

Even if it's electrically possible to install the new color HUD, what are they going to charge for labor. I doubt whether access to that portion of the dashboard is going to be easy.

Well those pictures are from the stingray, but knowing GM they usual share the HUD, to reduce cost, (I could be wrong ofc).

I was gauging intrest in this topic, at the same time I was wondering if someone knows ahed of time if you should kiss this idea good bye for reasons like cost and labor to do it.
like what HDRDTD said.
I also do realize this is topic might be ahed of its time, so when we get more info we can look it up and see what could be done, if any.

Ofer, knows usually if its cost effective or not, like how he found out about the Mylink system being too much to go through (My link retrofit into 2010-2012)

Yeah the my link system I wanted to do, but it seems like it's better to just go aftermarket.

I remember hearing something about an aftermarket company makin some sort of radio that works on the camaro with OnStar and all the controls etc. I wonder what happened with that...

There has been No decission made by Ofer (2SSRS) about the Nav MyLink System as yet. It is still pending, because he is busy running a business. Give him time and he will figure out a way to make the Nav MyLink system work.

Looking at the pics supplied by Vangres, I'd bet the new 'vette HUD is totally incompatible with Camaros and older 'vettes. It looks like the HUD display is projected from the same imaging on the display in the center section of the dash on the new 'vette. Does not seem like anything that would even remotely swap in to a Camaro.

The 2014 Camaro HUD does not look at all like the Stingray HUD in the pictures.
But it really looks excellent and has great resolution.
Here are a couple of not-great pix:

I'd like to keep this one alive. I'd love to put swap out the color HUD and DIC into my 12 Z.

I would "think" the HUD projector uses the same plugs. It looks like it shows the exact same info in the same format, just that there is color now which would be in the design on the unit and not something that would require programming or adapters of some sort.

Can anybody get a P/N for the 14 HUD or DIC?
