He did not know how long the hold will be, but expect it to not be more than a month.
Do anyone have any other info or rumors?
Hello h018871,

I have posted the following information on this thread below but I wanted to address you as well directly. We definitely appreciate your patience awaiting delivery. The Camaro ZL1 and 1LE are currently under a quality assessment review. The assessment involves looking at each ZL1 / 1LE unit still at Oshawa to ensure it meets our standards. After the assessment is completed, the units are sent off to the dealers.

Please understand, quality assessment does not necessarily mean there is an issue with any one or all the cars. It is the plant's opportunity to ensure the cars are meeting and exceeding the set standards before the unit is shipped to the dealer and ultimately delivered to the customer.

I hope this information helps.

You guys are complaining about a 1 month delay? That was quick earlier this year; my car was in quality control for several weeks--55 days from build to arrival.

Reggie,
Thank you for the information. I think the part that frustrates me, and quite honestly that I do not understand, is that cars that were produced later than ours, by over two weeks, have been delivered, and ours has not even shipped yet. The only logical explanation for that I can come up with is that some of the cars have issues that are requiring repair. If not, and Chevy is just randomly checking cars for release, and not in order of build, then they are failing in a big way in terms of customer service. I have managed manufacturing facilities for the last 15 years, so I understand that things can happen. I just wish someone would be honest and let me know the truth. Thanks for your time.

I heard last my car was on its way in a rail car from Gibson Indiana. Would you happen to know where it goes from there? My dealership wasn't very good at tracking so I'm trying to figure out how long it should take.

took the words right out of my mouth!! i think its bs they are sending out the ones they just built rather than the ones that are just sitting. i dont know all the circumstances, but i know at my job, if i did my work backward and did not deliver what was already produced, it would catch mad crap for it. i am not even going to begin understanding the process, but HOW is it rational and/or professional to send ones two or three weeks older than ones just sitting there?!#$#@?$#?!@#

Probably because it's easy to assemble a car. Once there is a problem to actually fix all those cars takes more time than assembling a new car from scratch. Why anger customers whose cars aren't affected?

without hearing one way or the other, there doesn't seem to be anything "wrong" just an extended quality check. i get letting the non 1LE and ZL1 out but shouldn't it be a priority to get the ones out in the order they were received/built? seems very illogical to me. then again, i'm just a guy willing to throw out thousands of dollars for a silly car. just not a great first experience buying a GM vehicle thus far

Hooray, there is light at the end of the tunnel. My 1LE that was built on 4/12 and on QC Hold ever since was shipped from the factory on Monday, 5/13 and my dealer called today and it has been delivered. Shipped via truck from Oshawa to north of Syracuse, NY in two days. They are prepping for delivery on Friday.
Those who are still waiting it looks like it shouldn't be much longer.

You know we are in the same boat. I spoke with my dealer, Dan Vaden, Brunswick, GA and they said they have involved the top GM southeast folks, and there is nothing anyone can do. I will get my car when I get my car. I suggested that when they do this, they should not hold ordered / sold cars, but only cars for stock. They saw my point, but again said there was nothing they could do at this point. I will tell you this, they stepped up big time for me. I just went and picked up a 2012 Ford Focus from them that I can use until I get my car! I am very impressed, and very grateful for this.

my salesman called last night and told me that he believes my 1LE is at a chevy depot in jessup maryland. checked with becky and she said that it is entirely possible that the car left the factory without the code changing. dealer told me to expect delivery any day now. hmmmm

Well according to Becky and the GM Customer Assistance Center, my car has moved to shipped status. I was told it is on the train waiting to be filled then leaving for NJ.

I will take all that with a grain of salt until I see some proof, but maybe...just maybe...my baby is coming home

Oh and I was TPW 4/1.

I am TPW 4/29 and still bayed. :(

Looks like there perhaps is in fact an issue with these cars that they are fixing. I can't imagine a inspection would take this long. Going to hope my car is right once it reaches me.

I don't think there is anything wrong. That's my story and I am sticking to it. Oh, and by the way, I have no proof to back that up!
