I wonder if GM was trying to design it like the prius if that's the way all these things are going to look for aerodynamic reasons? The side profile looks extremely prius-y :(

The Insight isn't far off either.

The Volt's design is actually more aerodynamic than the prius. Should have a lower drag coefficient.

This is good news. I hope GM tests the crap out of this car because if they have any problems/recalls after production starts it could be devastating.

Yea. Think "panic d' jour" but instead of just us and maybe a couple blogs going ape shit it will be the entire media. There will be congressional investigations into issues like brake weights lol.

I hope GM takes some serious lessons learned from the Camaro launch into the Volt launch. I wonder if they're even going to do orders at all. I mean they might just do like they did with the one-per-dealer v6s and ship standard builds out to dealers. The Volt is a very different car for a very different market won't have nearly the options like the Camaro; one drive train, no stripes etc. Pretty much just trim level and color. And the first model year is going to be a very low volume production so they could probably get away with just saying "sorry, no custom orders".

A very nice car imo. The side profile is nice, but the rear end looks a little high (not that i'm worried about it)
Would be a very nice commuter car in the city! Not so much in the country out here...

Aren't they supposed to market this to the eco crowd?

So GM uses silver on every car but now someone genius decides to roll it out black?
