The guinea pig

Today I did a detail on my wife's 2007 Eclipse. This is really just practice for when I do my Camaro. It was a good experience.

I did a wash and used APC to strip the wax.

I then used the Nanoscrub clay sponge to clay the car. It was so easy to use! I followed Roshan's how to video and it worked great.

I skipped polishing as I am going to hand polish the Camaro and the Eclipse needs a PC job with someone who knows what they are doing.

I put down a coat of Blackfire sealant and took a break.

I was lucky enough to get a small sample of Adam's Americana wax from Roshan, so that's what I finished with. The wax came in this tiny jar and I thought there was no way that would be enough for a whole car. Working out of a tiny jar worked out great, as I really made an effort to put down a thin coat. It turned out I did have enough wax.

It was fun to spend a morning detailing and my wife was really happy with the end results. The pictures really don't show what an improvement there was to the Eclipse.

Why a hand polish over a PC polish on the Camaro?

And you doubted me on the wax

Glad you got the results, both the wax and the nanoskin sponge are products that I have very high regard for.

Looks great!!

The Americana was perfect. It was easy to apply and left a fantastic shine. I can see why people love it.

In the evening under street lights, the Eclipse had a really neat, wet looking sheen to it.

Thank you so much for the sample!
