I love the sound of the factory exhaust, but I want a little louder. As hard as it may be to really capture exhaust sound on a camera and then post it here, the ones I've heard that had headers, high flow cats, and factory cat back with the fuse still in sounded pretty good to me.

That being stated, it's not that big a deal to get to it, and after driving today and paying more attention, definitely more pop
You will like the headers.

The NPP dual mode exhaust didn't come out until 2012. I believe this is an option on the SS. Looks like yours is a 2010.

Search mild to wild controller, and yes makes the car sound like it should.

? You say this fuse pull is not applicable to the 2010 SS/RS.

Correct.
Do not confuse this fuse pull for the 'fuse pull' to restore your ECM to running on the higher octane table.

This fuse pull they're referring to has to do with the exhaust system on the ZL1 and optional on the newer SS's.

Sure is! Your not really tearing up your trunk. No damage done. Here is the DIY: http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=268970

We Installed the Mild to Wild, so we can open and close with the push of a button. It only took my girlfriend about 30 minutes to install and put back together. Well worth it!

I like the fact that you can program the homelink buttons. I will gladly go spend the hundred dollars to have the convenience of not going in and out of the trunk repeatedly.

My wife and I both love the open exhaust sound around town but, like it quite on the long highway runs.

I could not see spending $100 for something I could do for about $20.00, it was easy to figure out and wiring and took all of 30 minutes to solder wires and install.
Bought from ebay:
Logisys RM02 12V 15A Relay Remote Control Kit DC Connector 15 amp Heavy Duty $16.00

Bought from auto parts store:
Small ATM FUSE TAP ADD ON DUAL CIRCUIT ADAPTER AUTO CAR AUTO TERMINALS +15A FUSE $4.00

I drilled a hole in the cover and installed a rubber grommet to run the wire through. (Run wires before soldering) if you chose to do this....

I did the fuse pull trick a few weeks ago and I like it. I think it makes my car a little louder but nothing that I can't handle. Matter of fact, my Maggied SS was much louder than my Z is.

YES! Did it before leaving the dealership upon delivery and have not looked back! Never even drove it with the fuse in!

Literally the easiest thing I've done to a car except maybe put air in the tires, lol.

No reason for it to be illegal.

Putting in Mild mode is stock exhaust operation so you should pass inspection period.
Putting it in Wild mode is allways open so you may or may not pass inspection.

But having the device on the car in general will not cause you to fail if in Mild mode. However, why not save the money and just pull the fuse. I did and have not looked back. Not like it's hard to get back into the area to put the fuse in before an inspection if thats what your worried about.

Did the fuse pull a couple of weeks ago and like the pops and gurgle. Not bad on the highway and really cool on the downshifts. Was it worth it....YES!!!

Just pull the fuse. No need to pull the relay. You won't get a code.
