My wife and I picked her up at Bayside at about 7pm yesterday and I've got to say that the sale went pretty good. The guys at Bayside know me a bit because I wouldn't leave them alone while I was waiting for teh car to get here. But they were great about it! I did get the USAA $750 rebate, but they wouldn't give the miiltary discount (which was about $1200)... of well, I still walked out after tax, tags, title with them owing me almost $300 difference from what I had on my financing check from Pen fed, which was made out for $700 below MSRP! So they were pretty good about everything and I feel like they shot pretty straight with me. I would go back.

Now for the real stuff. My 2SS/RS is black with CBG stripes and black leather interior. The stripes were perfectly installed, no bubbles. The Painted engine covers were not in yet, and neither was the car cover so I'll have to go pick them up when they come in. The seating in sooo comfortable, even my wife could adjust the driver seat to drive comfortably, which she can't do easily in my '67 RS. The Camaro has a great humm, and when you get on it you can hear that amazing V8 roar. The stock cans are huge and really restrict the beauty of the sound, but since it's going to be my daily driver, I might want to enjoy the peacefulness and not attract too much attention from Joe Law, (no offense to our fine brothers in blue, just I tend to have a heavy foot and my interactions with you guys is usually limited to expensive 20 minute visits at my driver window, rather than weekend bbq's).

As for the driving and handling here is what I would say. The car drives so smoothly for such a nice suspension. It is tight but forgiving. The acceleration is not what you would expect from over 400 hp/400ftlbs tq. But that is because she is a heavy car. But rest assured she will snap your head back if your not paying attention. You get tons of attention when driving, most people are speeding up or slowing down to look at you, but I did have one guy late last night try to punch it in a tuned Mini Cooper which just made me laugh, but he looked serious, it was really funny. Got a bunch of thumbs up and nods from my Chevy brothers (if you're on here that was a sweet Vette!).

Took the wife out to Alexandria for dinner with friends after we picked up the Camaro, drove right into that big rain storm 15 minutes after driving off the dealer lot... wipers work. She drove decently in the rain, even with how crappy Rt 4 is for rain runoff. By the end of the night we had driven 83 miles and my Camaro has 103 miles grand total on her now. And a good reason to wash and detail her today before I go get the windows tinted and 3M clear bra put on , hopefully this afternoon.

Well we only got a few pics last night due to the bad weather, but here is one shot. I will get a bunch more today both before and after the tint and 3M Bra. Look forward to seeing you guys on the road! For those of you still waiting, the last week sucks the worst, but it is TOTALLY WORTH THE WAIT!

more pics being downloaded now. Took my wife up to Annapolis onto the Naval Academy out by the seawall and took some shots there. We will be getting more shots of her around Washington DC today, looking for scenic backdrops like maybe out on the GW Expwy overlooks of the Potomac. Will post soon!

Nice, I hadn't noticed the Toyota sign back there before that... I will have to photoshop it out. I will say that I had a GREAT experience at Bayside Chevrolet in Prince Frederick throughout the buying experience. The salesman kept me updated with the status and were great to work with!
