bbk long tube header help.

Hey guys I just installed BBK Long Tube header in my car recently and it is ****ing loundmouth w my loudmouth axle back exhaust. Is there anyway to trim it down a bit? Any advise and also my CEL is on is there any other way to get around this?

Hey man. Ill help you out before people just tell you to search the site lol. But really the search bar, then google site search feature is awesome. Just type in what you want and it searches the whole site

So youre going to want to get Resonated xpipe after or before your stock resonators. I suggest milder mufflers too. Those are pretty much straight through and not chambered.

This is the most mild and non raspy Ive been able to get with my BBK long tubes and high flow cats.

I got the exhaust piping and mufflers done here in Marlboro MA at Lous Custom Exhuast. They are pretty cool people and the price was good.

+1 on the Magnaflow resonated X-pipe part #11386.

Also +1 on high flow cats. They make a big reduction in sound and rasp and really don't interfere with flow that much.

Some people have reported avoiding a cell with the combination of a high flow cat and a O2 sensor extenders (see Amazon.com, EbayMotors, etc...), but Gee is likely correct to be completely sure.

Little late to the party. But the others are spot on. # 11386 Magnaflow resonated X pipe and a tune are the best two things to help you out. Most of us noticed the loud RASP you speak of after installing the headers. I can speak from my experience the X pipe took care of the problem.

Check out my install thread for headers for more details.
