Anybody undo the F8 Exhaust Fuse Pull ?

I'm curious if anybody reinstalled the F8 Exhaust Fuse, and their reason. Was there a drone? Too loud? Neighbors? Warranty concerns?

I pulled the fuse a couple of months ago. No problems, sounds great. I see no reason to put it back in.

Pulled the fuse barely a week after owning the car. It's definitely not too loud and I can hear it while cruising but it's certainly not annoying

My neighbors are used to hearing loud cars in my driveway so that's not an issue.

Can you be more specific about warranty concerns? I can see them refusing to replace the valves/mufflers if anything broke on them but I seriously doubt preventing the valves to close would cause an issue with the mufflers that would require replacement.

My neighbors come around and ask what I bought now...

I thought somebody might reinstall the fuse if they were afraid some warranty claim would not be honored. I'd have to hear from someone who reinstalled the fuse for that reason to learn if thy had a specific concern.

Seems like just about everybody who has pulled the fuse has never looked back

If I wanted to put it back I guess I would either have to find it or buy a new one, lol. I knew that would be a permanent mod.

I pulled it and I keep it in the center consol. I have no plans on putting it back. The only way I would is if my mufflers puked out their insides or something went wrong on the exhaust, which I dont anticipate.

Is there any performance gain from this mod or is it just for sound?

I purchased the wild to mild switch and I only leave it on wild. I would have saved some cash if I just pulled the fuse!

I actually put mine back in so the rest of the muffler batting would come out so I can get my mufflers warrantied. seems with the fuse out the batting does not come out as much

I put mine back in when I had KOOKS long tubes and cat deletes installed. It was just to loud to cruise around town. Had M2W switch installed instead

Does this work on a '12 SS? Or is it just for cars equipped with NPP Dual Mode exhaust?

I went with the Mild to Wild switch. Push of a button on the remote and its back to factory settings. Honestly though, only time I ever went back to factory was when I showed somebody how it works/sounds. Otherwise I always have it WIDE OPEN!

Yeah, I had the fuse out for about a week before I put it back in. I frankly didn't care for the burble sound.

Noweeds Exhaust! That's INSANE! Definitely on the "Wish List". How many programmable setting does it have? Must be more than just closed/wide open? I'm call a local exhaust shop here to see what it would cost me for an install. Is yours "bolt on" or is it welded in place. Man that sounds AWESOME! Rattle all the neighbors windows for sure.

If you get a chance I'd like to know what set up you went with? Seriously considering this, took one listen and I'm hooked.

I did the fuse pull and I barely noticed any difference in sound. Oh well, it's done and I really have no reason to reinstall the fuse. After all, it not hurting anything.

Hi guys,
The Noweeds system just bolts right in, I jacked up the front of the car just enought to run a sawsall for cutting the exsiting exhaust and bolted it right in, wired it up and it took about three hours start to finish. For the ZL1 just order the 2010-2012 camaro LS3 for manual or the L99 for auto. It throws no codes since it bolts in after the cats and will still pass emissions. check out there web site www.noweeds.net and you can see the installation video. NO REGRETS
PLEASE NOTE: Noweeds has just posted the Diverter system for the ZL1, works with LS3 and L99. Nice job!! Steve @Noweeds

Yeah I saw that as well, a setup specifically for the ZL1, love it! I had a few questions and Steve responded right back so that's really good customer service. The more I'm looking into this, the better it keeps getting/sounding! Easy install, No Tune Required, and at the touch of a button you're right back to the stock sound with Nobody noticing a thing, especially the Lawman! Who me, nope, must of been that mustang making all that racket, sir. hehehe...
