need some turbo help

So I got my car running with the borg warner efr 7670 rear mount but I seem to be shooting out some oil in the rear and I have oil in the charge pipe. Anybody know what could be causing this problem.

I'm guessing you aren't returning the oil effectively. Make sure you scavenge pump is below the oil return from the turbo. Don't drive it hard until you get it cleared up or you will ruin the seals.

Yea the pump is about equal height with the drain line and the pump sends the oil to the valve cover

Drop the pump inlet about 1/2-1 inch below the drain lines. What size lines are you running for the return from the turbo and to the valve cover?

Post some pics. I want to see how the B2 frame fits back there.

Ok ill take a pic. What kind of oil are you using because on the borg warner website it says if you don't run watercooling you need to run a 15w oil and I'm running 5w oil

I use 15w but I use the watercooling. I know it's a pain to run that all the way to back of the car, but I would highly recommend it, especially if you are going to run a lot of boost.

Which AR did you go with?

Very nice. With that ar your charge temps should stay low, not to mention you have the t4 twinscroll. That thing should kick butt.

Yea we are narrowing down the problems. When the car is at idle the wastegate should be open right because right now it is staying shut causing the turbo to surge and backfire which I think is causing the oil to get backed up and leaking past the seals. I'm gonna check the duration cycle on the solenoid and set it to zero and see if that works.

Warm idle or just during cold idle?

At like cold idle when I first start up it will surge and pop . I don't know if its trying to boost at idle or getting to much air. I was reading and I guess your wastegate should be shut at idle.

I had the same issue. I'll have to get specifics from Rhino, but basically we turned off the cat warm up on cold idle. The car is trying to push as much exhaust through as it can to warm up the cats quickly. That spools the turbos (gotta love the EFRs) and you are making boost. That confuses the hell out of the ECU and it is cutting throttle and fuel, then having to add it back it. Get your tuner to turn cat warm up off and I think you'll be okay. If he has trouble let me know and I'll get Rhino to tell me exactly what he did.

so once I get that fixed I just have to figure out the oil problem. I have to say that the 3.91 gears are pretty fun to drive with.

I can't even imagine. That turbo has to spool instantly and with that rear gear your first gear must be insane.

I have a trifecta tune on it already but I have the cable and I'm getting it retuned at the shop. Then I'm getting the supplemental fuel system installed to up the boost.
