What worries me about this is it is an indication that GM has already run through their stock of LLTs configured for the Camaro. Given there are quite a few still out there that are still under warranty, that can't be good.
Not good at all.

I wouldn't trust the service writer's statement... I'm in the "wait and see" mode.

My money is on it being a LLT

I will be getting the car tomorrow. I guess I will be able to tell if it is a traverse motor by the oil filter.

this will be really bad or it will be no big deal. either way your dealer is retarded. you need to give that thing the once twice and trice over. take it around the block and repeat at the dealer.

The oil filter housings are removable. I would post a pic, but its not online to upload and hosting sites are blocked here at work. Same long block and guts from the Acadia/cts etc and the Camaro, different oil filter adapter and various bolt on parts like the pan and common water pumps etc.

Yea.....for a second I read that and thought "When did I post in this thread?!?" Then I saw KM's username, definitely not his usual writing style.

LOL.

I wonder if the difference in manifold, exhaust, plumbing etc can all add up to the stock power in the 2010s compared to a Traverse.

I thought the Camaro LLTs had upgraded timing, air/fuel mapping and other changes that made more power.

Or...I am talking out of my ass.
