rear view mirror

So I've noticed that I have to adjust my rear view mirror a lot. I get it just right, and then a while later it's out of whack. After a while, I end up looking at the back seat. It seems that the vibrations (I guess from the engine) cause it to move out of place. When I'm driving on the freeway, if I look in the mirror, it's always shaking. Sort of like when a song with heavy bass is playing.

Does anyone else have this problem?

Seems like once a week I get in and it is just all wrong - as long as it doesn't get any worse it seems ok to me. If it gets too bad maybe I'll do the frameless retrofit I've read about

I've noticed it, but not as bad as your saying. And my speakers are stock, but I have them adjusted as such and turn it up enough that the mirror does shake from that sometimes.

no problems here, just the vibration from the bass.

Me too; mine always falls out of place. It seems loose, and I will bring this up to the dealer when I go.

I think this is the key. Because he 2012 has the backup camera screen in the mirror, it is probably quite a bit heavier and the pivot mount cant hold it up if u hit bumps, or have sub bass.

We have the "frameless" mirrors, which are lighter in weight. Seems the 2012 and older ones are heavier, and vibrate loose easier.

yes I have the issue, and I had it in my Avalanche as well, and my niece has it in her Malibu..

I have resolved it by removing the mirror, putting some double sided 3m tape on the mirror post on the window, very thin kind you can get @ pep boys.. and reinstalling the mirror.

just be careful you don't fold it as you reinstall.

it seems to have tightened up the mirror and stops it from moving..

I find it happens a lot on very crappy roads, to whit L.A. has plenty.

I have had no problems with either mirror I have had, I got 2 12's in the truck as well. I upgraded my mirror to the autodim so I have a stock mirror I can sell. I never had a problem with it being too loose. PM me if anyone wants to make an offer.

seems to be a problem with the mirrors with the backup LCD in them, they are really heavy.

all 3 cars I mentioned all have the same mirror..

I have the backup LCD in mine, but I've never had this issue. I also rarely use the stereo as I enjoy listening to the motor much more.
