Rear end gear 3.73 - where to buy?

Could anyone point me in a direction for the purchase of 3.73 gears. Please.

As of now there is not a manufacture for rear gears for the Camaro. Give it a few more months and there should be.

And when they do make them, go right to 4.10's, you'll thank me later!

I could be mistaken but I think rpepka has an automatic. If so the 4.10 would suck in that because of the 4.03 first gear in the A6. But I totally agree with a 4:10 in the M6.

How about splitting the difference and going with 3.90's?

3.73's might work well with the auto, but it depends on what is planned as for future mods.

What kind of gas mileage can you expect with the M6 and 4.10 gears, on the highway?

I have been looking for gears as well. It's a little frustrating that GM did not follow the Mustang's lead with Ford performance parts and offer these as an option through their performance division.

Will whoever has a source for these please post?

I have posted these on another thread but I will save you the look up time. This is for the M6 SS with stock 20 inch wheels.

I ran a comparison of Stock 3.45 gear vs. 3.90 for the A6 SS owners to view. This chart compares the gears by MPH @ RPM in the indicated gear. It looks like a 3.90 may work very well. You hit the fuel cut off at about 35mph in first gear. Take a look.

I agree 100% MN6 4.10's and A6's 3.73's. Best mod i ever did was add 4.10's and drag radials to my old '03 Procharged Mach. I cut 6 tenths off my 1/4 mile, going from 3.55's with my 5-speed & stock tires
