Makes me wonder if they will put the LF3 in the ATS V-sport, and if so, will they also do a "V". If so....then its got to have the LT1 baby.....ORRR maybe some new forced induction V8 that we haven't seen yet?

I think it's been virtually confirmed that the ATS-V will have the LF3 (no doubt Fenwick can let us know for sure). On top of that, I think the output is too close between the LF3 and LT1, and besides, I doubt GM would have the same powerplant in an ATS Vsport and the CTS Vsport.

If there is an ATS Vsport in the works, I see four possibilities: a) a high output LTG variant, b) a nerfed LF3, c) a new FI V6 we haven't seen yet, or d) a bigger FI four cylinder.

As far as I know ATS-V will get the LF3. LT1 was in the cards too but that seems to have faded away.

And not every model will get a Vsport variant.

That being said, remember that Cadillac has said Vsport could be nothing more than an appearance package depending on model. So...

Hey, you can probably tell more about a cars specs from the wrong-bodied test mules than you can from the padded camo prototypes. By starting with a regular car, you end up with a point of reference. Where has the bodywork been hacked up? Where do the wheels sit relative to the body: low, high; in, out; forward, back? That gives you a decent indication of suspension stiffness, ride height, wheel base, track width, and more.

If the estimates of the Gen 6 Camaro being a 2016 with a 2015 release date are correct, when do you think we should start seeing spy photos and some preliminary specifications? I would assume next summer or fall.
