I wasn't able to get good pressure, not to mention my product combo wasn't real suited for the job (wetsand marks and I was running an orange LC pad w/ M105). The M105 was pretty much running the show there, but like they say, a chain is only as strong as its weakest link and that pad just wasn't cutting it... literally.

These are tough cars to work on, I'm not gonna lie. They're so long and broad. A lot of painted surface to polish.

And Dani, I dunno WTF is wrong with her back. I think it's because of her crappy bed combined with how generally weak she is.
It was a funny ass night seeing you go at it trying to fix the scratches.

Tell her to start working out her back. There must be a workout you. Can do at home if going to a gym is to harsh for her.

Talking about detailing cars, there is this kid on a detailing forum that owns the WRX suburu hatchback. He has been detailing for a year or so and knows his stuff. He has been trying to start a business the past few months.
Last week he got his first phone call to do a paint correction.
He finished the hood and says he couldn't handle detailing others cars.
His first car to work on? A 2011 CAMARO. He said it was huge and he underestimated detailing until then lol

Yeah, people underestimate how much work it could be. Especially on certain cars. And odds are, that car was pretty neglected.

Most people think detailing a car is washing the outside and making sure to get the wheel wells and vacuuming the interior when it's actually a whole lot more than that.

Some say it only takes 45 minutes. The rest of us are just really really slow.

It took me 8 hours to do a freakin' decon and wax last Sunday, and that was just the paint - I already did the wheels throughout the week preceding.

Is now a bad time to tell you that I did just a quick wash the night before, drove through the rain, did a quick WW wipedown, and then WON the Michigan F-Body?

It wasn't bad. Just made sure I brought a trunkload of towels so I didn't ever wipe a dirty one on the paint.

I was referencing the 45 minutes to do a full 1-stage polish. Totally agree on the rinseless wash.

And I'm not anybody special.

It took me 2 minutes to go thru a drive-thru car wash, and a lifetime of swirls! Lol, jk. Didn't see any swirls or scratches on it. Last time I will be doing that, at least in the camaro.

I think the problem with car washes is some are worse then others.

Some change out the cleaning brushes religiously while some have had the same brushes since they opened..

Either way one time won't do too much damage IMO as much some of you exaggerate. Otherwise the clear coat would soon be coming off the cars that go through a car wash once a week for years.

The swirl mark conscious represent a diminutive portion of the gearhead scene, as it were. More trophies for you! Why, they must think you have magic paint on your car.

Dude I saw my first partial hockey game the other day. Wow, those guys are beasts and best the hell out of each other.
Without a doubt it was more exciting than basket ball and football.

My neighbor! I washed and waxed his car for 45 bucks remember? It started to rain so I buffed off the wax really fast and buffed it off again, did a walk around of the truck and buffed it off again. There was NO wax left. But he came over and said you owe me because there are streaks of wax on the whole truck. I call bull crap. Now he wants me to wax the WHOLE truck again to get the wax off. Buddy, your getting a wash, rinse, and a dry. I ain't waxing your whole car for a 5 dollar tip and you complain again. So for pretty much doing him a favor for washing and waxing his jeep and truck for 45 bucks for both of them. He wants to complain even after I KNOW there isn't any wax on that thing. Imagine if I charged him 150 bucks like I should have. He would be complaining so much. Well, guess I learned my lesson. Well the second lesson anyways.

Clean his car with a microfiber and some quick detailer and just wax it again shouldnt take more than an hour.

And I know this method will cause swirls but he probably wouldnt know it does anyways.

Unbelievable. Actually, I believe it.

Just wax the car again. In this business, reputation is everything. Its not worth it to have him go badmouth you to everyone over a wax job that should take you an hour.

Always always always go over the car with the customer when they pick it up. Make sure they're happy then, so you don't have this problem later.
