It's been a while since I've driven a 4th gen Camaro. But from recolection, it is better in every imaginable way unless you want a hatch back.

The 5th gen is quieter on the highway just cruising. It gets way better gas mileage. It rides wayyyyyy better. The HP difference is very apparent.

The only thing that comes to me where there might be parity is handling.

It is what you would expect in improvements in 7 years.

Stereo is way better in the 5th Gen.

I/P (IMO) is way better in the 5th Gen.

Seating comfort is way better in a 5th Gen.

Visibiltiy is better in the 4th Gen.

T-Tops were available in the 4th Gen.

Hatchback in the 4th Gen. (I prefer the trunk)

The 5th Gen is just a more modern and refined car. And you would expect that comparing a 2002 Impala to a 2010. Or a 2002 Tahoe to a 2010.

Not sure if that answers what you are looking for.

The interior is definatly way better. Seats are much more robust and cushioned. As far as acceleration. I can't tell a difference between my 02 SS and my 010 SS. I actually ran a faster time in my 02 SS stock vs stock. But then again we're in triple digit temps down here right now. I'm sure once it cools down a bit and I get my launch down I'll get a better time. Air noise is definatly a lot less than in my 4th gen. Car rides a little smoother. The most impressive thing I've noticed is the handling. I've never been able to lean into a curve so much without the rear tires breaking loose. I love coming out of parking lots in this car and throttling thru a left turn. Hope this helps.
