Project Gt500 slayer is almost done

The final stage of the project is almost finished.. car started this afternoon and all thats left is the meth install and then off to tune and dyno, then off to Bradenton for the real stuff..

here is a quick vid.. just a start file and start up to make sure everything was sealed up.. car bounces to 14 pounds by like 4000 rpm..lol it is going to be interesting for sure to see how much boost it makes. The blower speed is going to be about 25,000 rpm..i cant find the chart but I remember calculating it to about that. im thinking it will be about 18 pounds. Even with the extreme porting im pretty sure the blower is maxxxxxed out..any more speed and even if i can keep the inlet temps down and octane high enough the rotor speed will soon start getting into a very dangerous redline.. i know they explode about 26,000 rpm..lol

mods list
I.D 850 injectors
LPE cold air
LPE 2.38 upper pulley
N/w 102 tb
LPE 9.11 lower pulley
TSP 2" headers
C.B.I custom grind (nickname E.S.A.D)
Ported blower and snout (baron racing lol)
head studs
ls9 gaskets
C.B.I custom meth kit (single nozzle for now)
3600 rpm stall ( i am hoping its not to loose)
20" weld RT's front and back...
DSX tuneing

goal... anything in the 10s on a 20" tire and any mph over 130.. Im pretty sure im there..

they are a few pounds lighter than the stock wheel.. i got the widest fronts though because i wanted a street setup and not to completly ruin the car..

Sounds great. With all those mods, why did you choose not to replace the throttle body?

I'm sure you forgot to add injectors to your list. But what about fuel pump upgrade?

Gt500 "slayer"? That's a bold statement friend and I wish u the best of luck but a light bolt on gt500 will give u a hard time even with those mods.

Lol light bolt on gt500 huh? Lol with the converter UNLOCKED I'm shooting for upper 600s.. I say unlocked because we are doing the street tuning right now and I can already tell the converter clutch can't hold. Looking for low 700s after its fixed.. this combo is not new and makes 770s in 6 speed cars.. I'm going to Bradenton and running the car then coming home and taking the converter out and sending it in..

Here is a good idle vid

I'm running meth and so far we are to about 15#s at PART throttle runs. With the meth the fuel pump will be fine.

Don't get me wrong I'm not trying to slam u or your car I love zl1's and would take one over a gt500 in a heart beat. Now at the same time the gt500 can easily hit 700whp and in a lighter car although you have a stalled auto which should help make up for that and I wish u the best of luck and will continue to follow your thread. Once again I'm sorry if my last post came off wrong.

700 rwhp in an automatic with a converter has got to be a very low 10 sec, to high 9-sec ride. Can't wait to see your slips, best of luck to you.

Do you have anything against a BAP? That should meet your fuel requirements.

What brand converter are you running? Sounds like you're blowing through the converter. I would contact Chris at Circle D for a mutli disc converter or see what he recommends. I ran his 5C in my TA with a stroker motor and loved it.

3600 was a bit loose or the converter clutches not rated for the hp/tq? I bet the stock converter would not have been too bad.
