Headers with stock exhaust

I have the dual mode exhaust on my 13 Camaro, can I swap to long tube headers with the stock exhaust. I have read that swapping the exhaust itself doesn't pick up horsepower, I also like the dual mode. Is there a kit that will bolt up with little mods?

Thanks!

Absolutely. You need to go with headers that are designated "factory connect" or "short system" depending on the manufacturer. LT headers with high flow cats and the dual mode is a great combo. Feel free to hit me up if you have any other questions.

Now that was a quick reply! Greatly appreciate the response. I am currently on the fence of camming the motor and headers or supercharger. I have a couple cars I need to sell, to bankroll my mods.

What headers do you recommend?

Give the thread below a look. I wrote it to help answer questions about headers and it pretty much sums up my thoughts on the topic. It mentions several brands specifically and explains the areas you need to pay attention to when looking.

Choosing The Right Long Tube Headers

Cant really go wrong man. If you are on a budget, stainless power is the best bang for your buck. Made by Stainless works, but just the welds are done overseas, then inspected in the U.S.. Makes em cheaper, and I cant tell the difference between the chinese welds and the american ones haha.

If you have money to spend, go for one of the more expensive brands, and you can get them coated to keep em looking good.

Stainless doesnt NEED to be coated, but it will keep them looking nice, and will cool off faster.

Stainless will last forever, dont buy mild steel ones.

Axle back exhaust doesnt normally add HP. Need headers and HF cats for that.

Go 1 7/8" unless you plan to get a supercharger, then you may want to do 2"
