Ported Intake Manifold!!

My next upgrade is a ported intake manifold. I have the core coming which I will ship out once I get it and inspect it to make sure it is in good condition. I am going with V-Max since I already have their ported TB. However I have been reading about a company called Bare Essentials Racing. Has anyone heard of them or had any experience with them? Again, I'm pretty sure I'm going with V-Max as I am pretty confident in their work. But if anyone has any knowledge or experience with other companies that offer the same work then I'd gladly consider it.

V-Max does pretty solid work but without any head work or a cam you might not gain much with a ported manifold.

You'll feel improved throttle response, but 1/4 mile time will stay pretty much the same.
Worth while mod because its inexpensive and does improve tap in throttle feel and response.

Yes I have, they hav been around a Lil while popular with the vette crowd, but I don't know how it is now. BUT I believe that you will not benefit much from it since you are not moving that kind of air "YET" lol. I think you can use that money else where IMHO blak.

There is a little-known modification to the intake manifold which is bench proven to increase flow and make 12-20hp, depending on your mods, however porting will likely sacrifice flow, structural strength on LS3 L76/L77 manifolds.
In terms of reviews / reputation etc, look where I'm sending your old throttle body to- here it will mate with a new manifold, to be modified and rebuilt with ported TB, then sent halfway around the world to Brisbane, Australia.
Yeah, still bang for buck!

W/out heads/cam to match, expect maybe 10-15 rwhp from our porting. The posts above from juiced and little are good advice....but it cant hurt and your then ready for more mods later.

Thanks for the advice guys. And yea the plan is for a cam, heads, and supercharger in the future. I would do the cam and heads at the same time as the ported manifold but I don't have anywhere to do something as involved as a full top end. So the manifold will have to make do for now.

After the manifold I am planning on getting my lowering springs installed along with a rim/tire package. That's about as much as I wanna do to the suspension. I have a lighting kit I wanna purchase for the grille, emblems, the foot wells and interior, and the DRLs. Maybe an aftermarket hood. All in all the manifold is just a piece of an as yet incomplete puzzle.
