Ever used 3M Paint Defender System?

While watching one of the car shows on TV this weekend, I saw a ad for a product that is very much like Plasti-Dip except it is clear. This looks like a product that would really help in the areas where rock chips are common.

I have a review up.

To sum it up: It's average, it protects, but the look and texture is horrible, very rough and orange peely, and it doesn't self level plus no instruction on how to level high spots out. But for the price it's not bad for road trips, short durations, etc...

Thanks guys, saves me the heartache of using a product that I would not be happy with.

Yeah I work at an auto parts store and was gonna try it on my '13 SS I'm taking delivery of today (woohoo) but after this I am giving it a second thought. It says in our material from them that it does self level but if not I'm not trying it.

I can personally guarantee it doesn't. If you're going on a road trip I can see getting it, but not really, it's not worth the cost if you road trip often.
