CAI shrink tubing

Mine seems to have disappeared ... I just installed cai and can't find it... Any idea where to get more?

Auto part stores only seem to have small shrink tubing

I dont know where to find it, but I can tell you, you dont need a heat gun. Put the heat shrink in place, and after putting a few miles on the car, the heat from the engine shrinks it

You should be able to find it locally at a auto store or hardware, it's usually only a few bucks. You can order a piece from us by calling us, but since we would have to ship it UPS it would be much more costly. The cheapest way to get it for you is locally. The size should be 3/4" ID Before, 3/8" ID After. Also you can replace the whole line with 1 solid piece of hose for a cleaner look without a seam, some people take that method as well.

Let us know if you have any questions and thank you for choosing Cold Air Inductions Inc.!

How about electric tape? Would it be enough or would it just melt away?

As long as you can get it to seal then you should be ok. Like I said too, you can also replace the stock plastic piece and the rubber hose we supply with one longer piece of hose for a seamless look. Some people even do it with a braided line and it looks really sharp. Going that route is strictly for cosmetic purposes, but its just another idea for you.

Any specific info on the hose to buy? One thing i liked about k&n cai was that it had a hose, whereas c.a.i one only had short one where it has to be attached to original tube. Its easier to swap out with factory filter if needed.

I get mine from a place like that. It's Kraftco. One of those old school stores where the old timers know exactly what you need and where to find it just by listening to you for a second.
