Commits weekly crime

Automatic or Manual?
I'm getting to the point now where I may need to decide soon.
Probably will get the manual...since, if I do get a ZL1, it wouldn't be my daily driver. Still, PQ will laugh, because I seriously am considering the Auto...

I have a manual, I believe this car is to be driven by a stick shift. The car that lapped the Nurburgring at 7:41:27 it was a manual! If the auto is "faster" why didn't they take the auto around the ring? Car reviewers are there to earn a paycheck and sell advertising space.

Manual. I do sometimes get tired of shifting especially after working out I just want to get in it and drive. Buuuuttt the fun of a manual outweighs the bad.

I like them both and have driven Smitty's car as well as my auto. They have a totally different feel. It is a personal choice and preference. The 6 speed shifts well and clutch takeup/modulation is great. Personally, I just didn't want to row gears as I have had a few cars with 6spds in the past...possibly laziness too.

I went with the A6 because I still have my SS if I have the urge to row. That aside this auto in completely different than any auto you have ever driven. The way Sport mode is programed it down shifts and holds gears just like the manual does. It pre loads the hydraulics for the next gear, it blips the throttle to rev match downshifts ... Really, Really cool stuff.

I ordered my ZL1 with the auto. I've had sticks before (still do) but the main reason I chose auto is that I plan on drag racing the car and I love the consistency.

As one ages the A6 becomes more and more tempting. I've had manuals for most of my driving life and now love the auto. (Thought I'd never say the preceding).

After having 3 knee surgeries on my left knee, using the clutch and rowing the gears all day starts to hurt. So injuries or age definitely weighs in.
