easy low speed fan on/intercooler pump "on" jumper technique

Pictures do the talking but this is an extremely easy way to turn on the low speed fans and intercooler pump with the key off. You can place the jumpers and replace the relays if you want these to run continuously while the car is at the track. You could easily place the jumpers in the pits once you park the car. Use a 4" piece of 14-16 gauge wire and strip both ends for each jumper. Relays K 641(ic pump) and K 613(low speed fans). Check out the pics. Hope this helps!

I've been waiting to see this! I got a bit confused by the second sentence though. If I want them to run continuously whether the car is on or off do I place the jumpers and then place the relays on top of the jumpers??

the fans and ic pump will both run if you place the jumpers as pictured without the relays with the key off. The relays placed over the jumpers will keep the jumpers in place so they don't shift. So, if you placed a flat spade connector for each location and placed the jumpers you could leave the relays out if you want to run continuously while at the track. Just remember to replace with relays after your track runs.

do this only in the pit area with the relays removed and key off. Replace the relays or place the relays over the jumpers for a continuous "on". If the relays are not replaced when the key is turned on, you will get an open circuit "check engine" light.

does the check engine light go back out once you put relay back in?

it might if you disconnect the battery. I have a cheapo scan tool and cleared it.
