Best way to start off

I've come to the conclusion that a V6 RS isn't good enough for me and I will be upgrading to the SS before too long. I just felt I would be modding this thing forever and still end up short of a V8 without nitrous, turbo, etc. Anyways I'm looking to pick up a 2010 Automatic V8, what are three mods that you would start out getting to add some HP and torque right away. I'm already thinking Vararam CAI. What's your thoughts?

ADM Race intake with scoop
Kooks long tubes, X-pipe 3" exhaust
Tune

These are 3 basic upgrades, combined they will get you some great results. They will also support future mods. IMO don't waist your money on Vararam.

A6 SS will be a whole new animal with LT headers, HF cats or no cats. Tune AND the all important tranny tune along with a CAI.

I had a gain of 50rwhp with those mods.

This is the first question that needs to be answered. The biggest gains will be with LT headers and high flow cats along with a tune. Open up the intake side at the same time and you will be very happy. Don't forget to address the suspension as you increase power though. Some of the stock bushings are barely adequate for stock power and you can gain a lot by upgrading them.

I was going to spend about 3000 more on my V6, I already had over 1000 in it.
