LFX CAI

Hey guys, how's it going?

I have an LLT but a buddy of mine just got a brand new 2013 LFX. He wanted to know if intakes that work on a 2012 will work on his 2013. So I came here to find out from people who actually know

2012 and 2013 are both LFX and the same CAI will work on both.
2010 and 2011 are LLT and require a different CAI

Yes. 2010-2011 use the same systems and 2012-2013 do as well.

Cool, thanks guys! Just figured I'd ask since I'd heard the 2012 and 2013 didn't share the same ecu

Good question, always better to check and be sure. For our CAI the part #'s are as follows:

2010-11 V6: 501-1036-10 OR 501-1036-10B (Black finish)
2012-13 V6: 501-1036-12 OR 501-1036-12B (Black finish)

If you add just a CAI to an lfx will you see much of a difference with anything?

16 rwhp, much better throttle response, better exhaust tone at WOT, great looks under the hood, lower IAT's, cost savings with the filter as well as possibly fuel economy. Yea, I'd say there are a few noticeable improvements Let me know if you have any questions, I'd be happy to help you.

DO it you'll love it. Just be ready to keep modding, hard to stop once you start.
